Hey guys, I've been shadowing this forum for a while now. I finally ended up getting a 2006 cobalt ss/ sc today. It also happens to be my first car so I'm very excited!


I'm a 20 year old guy currently at U of M. I'll be the first to admit that I'm a total newbie when it comes to cars. Hopefully I can make some friends on here who like working on their cars together etc.

As of now, I'm totally broke (thanks to my big purchase today). But as soon as I have money to spend, I will be getting rid of that nasty brick in the middle of the car AKA the E-brake, and replacing it with something that looks nicer (I couldn't even do that on my own haha).

Well I hope that it hasn't died out for winnipeg yet!

 

Welcome! Check out the Manitoba 2011 thread. Theres only a hand full of us on there but everybody is friendly. I have the same car so if you ever need any help or have questions feel free to ask.

 

Thanks man, sorry for the late reply.. I've had my hands full lately. I got my cobalt for a steal, but theres a few things that need to be fixed on it so it would be great to have a cobalt buddy. What part of the city do you live in?

Other than that I've had a lot of fun driving it, and the gas economy is pretty damn great (beats my parents' 4 cylinder CRV)

Oh thats awesome, I'll sign up. Is the Pontiac G5 similar to the ss/sc?

 

the g5 gt is the exact same car as the ss/na. but there are some similarities such as suspension.
