Ontario Tinting

I'm planning on tinting my sedan soon, and I'm fairly sure I know what percentage I'm going to get. But, before I solidify my choice, I wanted ask around about others' experience in Ontario (specifically).

- what tint level did you get?
- any issues with the police?

Thanks!

the legal tint i believe is 30% on front and i believe it doesnt matter on the rear i did 30 front and 20 rear. plenty dark for me and no problems. i would have went darker in the rear, but it would have looked silly. atleast now they almost look the same shade rather then super black and kinda black on the front.

15% rears, front 30%. Never had problems. There is no real % for tints in ontario.. the law is worded so that the cop that pulls you over gets the final say. Most shops say 30-40%, and if you google it 35% is what most people say is legal.

Yeah, the Highway Traffic Act mentions no numbers - just that it shouldn't obstruct visibility in and out. Rear windows are a non-issue.

I only ask because I'm thinking of getting 20% all around (I'm not a fan of the multi-level look), but I'm wanting to get a feel if that's too dark. My car is black, yes, but my interior is tan. The shop planning on doing it for me says the tan interior should really help out if I plan on doing 20%.

Dot Matrix problem

I went ahead with 20% all around. As people previously said, the HTA does not specify. Though, for the amount of night driving I do, 20% is just dark enough. Goes nicely with a dark exterior colour.

Only problem I came across was when I got the tint done, on my rear window at the top the tint didn't fully adhere to the Dot Matrix. (dot pattern linked with the defog) It looks kinda sloppy and the place said that regardless of the car/tint Dot Matrix is what it is and I'd have to just deal with it. I don't know if anyone else has any sugestions about this or same experience?

I ended up getting 20% done and haven't had any issues with the police about it yet (and I even got hit for speeding this morning!).

The dot matrix on mine isn't completely cured yet, but I heard it takes a good 4-6 weeks to cure.
It must be, because the tint appears to be slowly getting a bit lighter.

Now my only issue is that I have mystery scratches in some spots from something inside the doors.
