you gota be careful when porting the blower, i did alot of research on this, it seems like for our cars it actually raises the boost and the compression of the air distributed can cause some issues...
Why would we be so much dif then all the cobras?
well one car has blown up already,
some port the inlets and outlets and you can barely here the charger.
look under our chargers, it looks like this "V" now if you think runnin lean is an issue on the side where air/fuel is at its minimum, think about when you port it,
cobaras are differnet, 8 cylidners and the blower setup is different, you can see a huge gain with porting the charger on a cobra, for us we wont even see half, id worry about cooling before porting the chager, you wanna port something thats worth anything, port the head, get the studs and head gasket, boost will drop, run cooler, 30+horse
thats what im gonna do.

our intake manifolds have big ports but ahve to travel and bend quite aways, if we had an aftermarket intake manifold that would distribute air more freely with less travel that would also benefit us.

Porting the blower is a way of cooling if done properly should be ok with proper tuning, air temps should drop at least 10 degrees the guy blew prolly cause it caused him to run super super lean.
Heads are always so friggin' expensive to do too

you can run a cobra hea exchanger and youll temps will drop around 10 degrees, with yer dual pass it will drop significantly and youll notice at wot it wont be nearly as hot(if u had an interceptor;P)
a core head from GM is 2 grand, porting it properley is about 500 bucks(i think)
i was gonna port the charger, but some designs are really not meant to be changed,
you should check the what the redline guys say about ported blowers...
save your money and time and port the head LOL

I seriously dont think anyone has tuned with the blower ported, well not that I know. They just port it and slap it back on not realzing they might need more fuel for all the added air. But I know what your saying it is a gen 5 blower the pretty well designed, I was just looking at more mods to do lol
