Canada What did you pay (in CAD$)

Hey, I'm looking at picking up an SS/TC sometime this spring. Just wondering what you guys paid for yours at the dealer in CANADIAN dough. I know there's a few threads on the site about this, but i just wanted some Canadian input this time. thanks

Yeah, true. I've seen the sticker sitting around 27-29k. I just wanted to see what people had gotten it down to so I'd know what to shoot for

Price after some '08 EOY discounts was around the $23,500 range for mine. It has every extra feature that the '08 models had to offer (I didn't know at the time I had a 6-disc changer ) so you definitely couldn't beat the price. Taxes in, GM points and a couple other dollar offers here and there (including trade-in) and the whole deal came to about $25,000 all taxes, fees, etc. factored in.

Edit:

Price on the car, just FYI, prior to incentives was $28,925.

Nice thanks for the info. Haha that's what I was hoping to hear. The sticker prices are pretty high, but I've got a gm discount to use so it's not so bad. Just waiting for some more incentives to get offered. Haha don't know how much longer I can wait to pick one up though. Too excited!

Alright, almost there... dealer offered me ~$27k all in, so I walked. He called me right when i got home and offered ~$26k. A little more finagling and i think in a week or two I should be sitting pretty Finally I can stop drooling at pictures and drive one of these ***** home!

I'll be surprised if they drop it much past $25,500 for a brand new SS/TC. While the dealers really want to make sales, they'll get to a point where they will eventually give up. Perhaps if they won't drop the price further ask them to throw in a tint job or something which indirectly saves you money down the road .

Good luck, hopefully it all works out.

Just got back from the dealer, ordering from the factory at $23k out the door with LSD, high-rise wing, XM and RPD. Turns out the option 1 discount (order from factory) is a lot better deal than bargaining with one off the lot. Plus this way I get what I want, and don't have to pay $1100 for a sunroof that I can only use 6 months of the year.
Can't wait!

Sure did, only took me 4 years but damn it I made the jump! I hadn't seen any posts from you since I started frequenting the forums again...wasn't sure if you still dropped by or if you'd moved onto something else.

I've been in TO numerous times since we last talked, but, I'm a ******* and dropped my cell in a lake (while beyond obliterated drunk so I have an excuse) last summer and lost every single number in the damned thing... FTL, water > cell phone (and it was deep and I could barely walk let alone swim ).

I'll flip you a PM...who knows might drop by TO this summer in my new-found obsession..err vehicle .

Oh hell I've been on ss.net for years, same with OCC, but I stopped posting for a long period of time...picking up the TC renewed my passion for the car .

Yeah, like perma said, I just picked up a 08 TC for 23.000 taxes in, with all options. And it came with the 6 disc changer too (Gee, i wonder what "Load" means here on the headunit?)

If you push that + the forbidden button to the right of the steering wheel twice you're going to get into some mad ****, don't do it . I didn't even know I had the 6 disc until I started pushing buttons, the bill of sale wasn't real clear on what the radio upgrade was...but I'm so stuck on Octane and the month long Metallica channel on XM I haven't even tested it!

Swazzees, better keep your car away from me, I really wanted a Summit White, but the dealer was throwing the 08 at me which is in Black. I had always told myself I'd never buy black 'cause it's a nitemare to take care of...amazing what the words "large" and "discount" and "Turbo" in the same sentence will 'cause you to bend on .
