Winter rims and tires interest!

*UPDATE* Prices listed!!!

Last year I started a little group purchase of winter rims (steels) and tires, the pricing was 16" steels and Bridgestone Blizzak Revo2's (2056016). Just looking to help out fellow Cobalt owners again this year (hate to see a Cobalt end up in a ditch) and gauging interest in winter wheels. Last year the price was 1100 taxes in, mounted, balanced and installed on your car if I remember correctly. Tires are your choice and reflect the price but I have the Blizzak's and they are awesome! Last year a few people waited till the last minute and were SOL, so if you want em, I'll get a current price and get you some winter rubber. There is no money being made on my part, I do it out of the goodness of my heart

Bridgestone Blizzak Revo 1 X 4 16" Steelies 205/60/16 = $1050
Continental Semperit H rated = $950
These prices are tax in, mounted, balanced and installed!
The Continental's are very limited so if this is the way you want to go order soon!

Post your name here if interested...

well I have an SC and plan on using the 17" rims for snows in the winter and stickier tires in the summer when I do track events.
they are about $159.99 each.... any weigh a scant 20lbs.

None, car is roughly the same height so no worse than with the summer tires. Didn't hit a snowbank once. We live in Toronto man not Alaska

I'll get the break down as soon as he has a package together, last year he beat everyone's price on this package so if you snooze you lose. I got mine last year so it doesn't matter to me whether you get em or not I remember some people last year waited til January to get the package and he was sold out and the rims were backordered and the price went up so if you plan on driving your SS this winter don't wait.

I got them from Sean right away and they saved me the next week when the bridge was all ice. I LOOOOOOOVVVVVVEEEEE the Blizzak's, they were really good for me last year and I'm sure they'll still be good for this winter. Thanks a lot Sean for hooking me up with the deal, saved me a lot of trouble.

P.S. I don't think they lowered the car at all, at least not enough for me to notice. And I drove through every storm we had last winter, not a single problem.

I believe Ninja44 started a thread like this about a year ago................I was one of only a few(I think Player1 got on this also) who showed up and bought these sets last year. Let me tell you, last winter felt like summer all the time..................These are the best treads you will find................I know they cost a bit..............but they are worth their weight in gold!!!!! In a bad snow storm you will cruise while others will be in the ditch.
A quote from the installer.................,"You will never be stuck at the side of the road.............................ever!!!!!"
And it was true.........I thank Sean for setting this up last year and can't even wait until I can slap these on mid November.
I ran into Player1 last Nov '05, (on the Danforth-if you remember), and he had them on before me..............................his words,"I think they handle better than the stock's". He was right. My advice is get on this deal, keep yourself safe this winter and save the tread on your summer slicks.

P.S. I haven't been here for a while but I'm back now!!!!!! Hey sean, nice bike!!!!!!!!

The Blizaaks are awesome snow ice tires, but I went with a performance winter instead Dunlop winter sport M3's
I sacrificed a little snow and ice tracktion, to gain better dry, wet, comfort, tread life, and handling.

tire rack has a good comparison for winter tires, and they even rank them in each category, helps you select the best tire for you.

I loved the Revo's.............and they performed extremely well in dry weather also. I noticed way more movement with the wheel when I switched back to the stock tires in the spring. I'm thinking of choosing a new tread for the summer but I just don't know what to go for.......I'll figure it out by next spring. Until then I'm going to Revo it up!!!!!!!!

I'll give the info tonight, I don't want to publicly post it and have every tom, dick and harry harrassing the guy for a "better" price. This price sticks regardless of how many sets sold. Last year a few people wanted tires in January and the rims were backordered til spring lol!
