long story... old tickets, caught up with me, 3 demerits in review, 8 demerits on a GDL (3 in review like i said), suspended license, told it wasnt suspended until further notice by Alberta motor vehicles, driving 50 down the road past a cop station, cop pulled behind me, i saw him, pretended like i was going to futureshop, he followed me (most likely for my tinted windows), i parked went into futureshop, they ran my plates, found i was driving withh a suspended license (unbenounced to me) called my cell, told me to come outside, gave me an automatic court appearance ticket, towed and impounded my car for 30 days ($500 impound fees) and took my license and shreaded it..


i have a court appearance on Oct 17th, for the ticket thats in review.... and then a court date Nov 13 for this ticket.... in the end im thinkin it will cost me about $3300.00 after ticket/impound/towing fees..

 

ouch shitty dude. have you seeked legal advice since you were never told that your license was on a full suspension?

 

yes that will be happening on tuesday when things open back up..

ditto, there was apparently a bunch of cops, like 10+ cars pulling ppl over on the highway coming towards Calgary from Airdrie.

 

shitty cops are weird lately. like the one that followed us the other night. no lets not go for the one thats tinted, tinted tails and lowered and purposefully reving his motor. lets go for the stock looking car and do nothing about it lol.

 

wow dude thats suck...i hate tickets i now just got quoted for my next year of insurance for 2009 is 8300$ a year for 6 speeding tickets and 1 accident lol sayyy goodbye to the balt lol....

 

dood the funny part was that they followed me all the way to memorial while others went by me at 110 and 120 while the speed limit is 100.........i tried to get my cruise control working but lol having never used it I failed, i figured it out later for next time tho, cruise control FTMFW against lame ass cops

 

i always have my cruise on when its passed 11pm... even still i get pulled over...
never any tickets tho, just a "check up" to make the car is actually mine and to make sure im not doing anything illegal...
bugs me..

 

Same thing happened to me, I just didn't know that my license was actually suspended when I got pulled over.
