So did anyone see my Canucks hammer the Flames last night? Damn, the Nucks are one hell of a fast team this year.
Who's your squad?

I think Kipper played OK. His team didn't help him out much tho, poor defense, turn overs, etc. The Canucks were scoring quality goals. The only thing I could say about Kipper, was on 2 of their goals, he gave "gifted" rebounds. Either way I see the Canucks being like the Wild a few years ago, not a huge list of stars, but a lot of speed.

I can see that, not saying Kipper is a bad goalie or anything. I am happy with the Canucks although not a huge fan of them. On the other hand, judging by the teams performance, I am happy having the Sedin twins in my hockey pool

No but it was enough for me to decde that the Flames look lost on the ice. Zero chemistry. That doesn't come over night. If the Flames want to stay in it in the Northwest, they better find that "chemistry"

They have proven in the past few years that they can win games and even make the playoffs. Vancouver has usually proven to make the playoffs most years and usually the same with Colorado. Calgary is just starting to find it's "tune" and over the next few years i'm sure we'll see the Flames in the playoffs and doing well for themselves.

Oh i have no doubt too. The Flames are a pretty solid franchise. I was just stating that the Northwest is going to be particularily tough this season, and they can't afford to fall too far back. I know it's just the start of the season, but they are already showing signs of a confused team. Don't forget, most of these guys played all pre-season together, and they still seem to be tripping over each other. Kipper really needs to have a stand out season as well.
I only hope the Canucks stay healthy.

i'm a canucks fan, and what i think of their team, i agree with not having many stars, but the other players aren't that bad. I hope they perform with that intensity on a regular basis, i was very impressed with the effort and production of their inexperienced players such as rypien and hansen. Being from Rosthern, and most people there being huge calgary fans due to Robyn Regehr, there is no sweeter victory for me. As long as scoring doesn't become an issue again the canucks are capable of being a contender, saturday should be a good rematch

i would have to say the oilers are gonna win it all.
and with the flames, every year they start out like this. it takes 20 games for them to get into it, then they are a pretty damn good team. although i hate them
i am a pretty huge fan of the avs, even though im an oilers guy. back in the day, they had a unreal team with Roy, Sakic, healthy Forsberg, Foote, and Claude Lemieux. gotta love Claude.

Much better effort from the Flames for sure, but still showed a lot of defensive break downs. The Canucks are my team, but really, I hope all the Canadian teams do well. Exept the leafs....

OILERS!
I've been watching them since I first was walking.
They looked O.K. last night. I little sloppy, but hey it's the first game of the season and they got the job done anyways!
