2007 ALBERTA Cobalt Top 1/4 mile Times.
Well man for a stock engine with no boost your doing some great runs, lamo I bet you get a lot of fools trying to race you thinking they will win no problem then end up loosing lol. I’m sure you will be getting a lot of questions from me lol I figure if you can do 13’s I should be able to eventually get into the 12’s and maybe even the 11’s. Your cars weigh pretty much the same so there has to be something about the cobalt that is making it perform so poorly.

There is a good reason formula 1 cars don't run big, torquey motors besides the rules.
I have more passes on my car than the whole of this little section I would bet.
Experience is the key. I'm not a fantastic driver, I just have the car figured out.
I have almost 300 passes under my belt in this car alone.
The cobalt times will get better next year. They are making all the power that is needed to be fast, guys just have to start thinking about how to put it down also, not just dyno numbers or mph.
Getting a dyno graph and learning to interpret it and drive the car according to the powerband, etc. is very important.
As a side note, 18's are not good for drag. The stock tires are quite good on the ss/sc,
but they still need a quick spin to get the dust/dirt off.
There are lots of tricks.
My car is quick, and fun, that's all I can say.
The motor in the ss/sc is meant for turbo, the s/c doesn't do it justice.
As mentioned earlier, a 2.2L/2.3L whipple would really wake it up.
My car is stripped out, and it is a 6speed, with 9000rpm to work with.

Ha, never!!!
It would be way too easy then....
A few minor mods for the winter.
Going to see how far we can push a stock internals k20.
Get this, I'm going for 225whp on Tecmotion's dyno.
With the same power as a well-modded stg.2 cobalt this car should run
13.3's here in town at 102ish mph.
That would leave me to about 13.0-13.1 in edmonchuck.

Less than a cobalt.
About 2800 with me, depending on gas load.
Most of that is free, so it's the best kind of mod.
I kinda gotta mention how silly the "full interiror" argument is.
It's free to remove a few seats.
A pulley costs money.
Your car would be faster with less weight, and if you head to the track,
aren't you trying to be the fastest you can?
Try it, you'll never go back.
When I daily drove this car, I would strip it in 1hr before the races.
Put it back together the next morning.

oh im completely with you.
I made a video howto on it, and do it every week.
I was just pointin out that while you are comparing your times to a S2 cobalt with the same power.....its the 300lbs less thats helping create that distance in times
