Any good Calgary shops?

Going to need a good shop to install my ZZP stage 2 turbo kit. Anyone familiar with some good shops that do great work?

Yourself and your friends in your own garage. Building your car is half the fun! The kit is completely bolt on and you'd save a ton of money and gain a lot of experience about your car.

I noticed your also from Lethbridge, if you need any help with anything I'd be glad to help.

Only shitty thing to deal with is the pulley and maybe uploading the tune. R u planning on mailing yours in for the upload, swapping PCM or uploading the tune yourself?

Ah yes, gotta put that 2.8" on that turbo or it'll never run right .

I kid, I kid haha. And I agree, the pulley does suck for us SC guys.

I wouldn't mind doing it myself if someone had a garage. Even better if it had a lift. I'll probably be swapping the PCM. I might buy a HP Tuner though.

Question still stands in any case.

I'd love to do the job for you... what kind of timeline are you on?

I'm a licensed Journeyman with plenty of experience modding, tuning and making myself bleed.

Lemme know.

Are you talking about lightspeed innovations? I've heard 2 different stories about them:

First, the word on the internet is that they are very good at blowing up subies and stuff like that, and their tuner guy is a real ass.
Second, one of my friend's dad is a mechanic and knows the shop and says their tuner guy is
amazing, one of a kind, and that people from all over north america go to him to get their priceless cars tuned by him.

My friend's dad said he might be able to get me a free tune for my car, so now I don't know what to think.

I decided to look into them and I can't find any more horror stories than the guys who had his subie blown up.
This thread talks alot about people's experience with them:
LIGHTSPEED innovations for AWD tuning? - 780Tuners Edmonton Car Forums

In summary, Cam's a good guy but when he pushes cars to the max, things get sketchy. But that's not only his fault.

hmm, well I haven't dealt with any shop installing anything for me... ever - so I don't know how much help I can be...

but I just thought of this;
BIGX

If my memory serves me, he has/runs/works at a shop up in Airdrie, and he owns a pretty wicked all-black '09 SS coupe...
(he grenaded his transmission last year, and I cannot recall if he's fixed it yet.)

Might not hurt to talk to him - if nothing else he might have some recommendations.

Probably won't have the kit till this time next year since I'm making payments, unless I get rid of all my Focus stuff. Then it could be this summer sometime.
