Best trap speed now 104 mph!

I'm still not part of the 13 second club, but at least today I got my trap speed up a bit. I'm now at 104.56 mph. Only thing different since last time I went out is the GMPP exhaust manifold.

I might have been able to get a better ET, but the track was cold and traction was pretty bad.

Here's a vid of another 104 mph run:

Sorry about the quality, but it was really windy out.

Like I said, the track was cold. My best 60' in the past is a 2.236. So, if I could get another day this year with good traction, I might be able to pull off a 13. But, I'm up in Calgary, Alberta, Canada and the tracks are pretty much done for the year.

Also worthwhile to mention is that up here in Calgary, the altitude is 3200 ft. If I were at sea level, I think I'd do even better!

It was a really old Toyota Celica I think. I don't know it's exact setup, but it was a 4 cylinder turbo. If he had better traction, I wouldn't have stood a chance...

Cody, if you had kept it, we could've had some really good races!!!
I think that now, it might have been a pretty close.

Oh well...

If I had kept it.

I would be running Intense stage 4 right now lol

The only reason I hadnt modded it in the last couple months was becuase I knew I was gonna be trading it in on a truck...... I was just waiting untill fall.

Damn dude nice trap. I went out last friday, but i only got to run once because it was so busy. The line to get down the track was all the way back to the entrance booth. Got a horrible launch and only ran a 13.9 but..... i did trap at 109mph. I know low 13's are most definatly achiveable, some are saying high 12's. I am thinking of grabbing some dr and going for mid 12's

oh, traction has been a huge issure with these stupid perellis too.

I was hoping for mid to low 14's this year but I seem to be really close to 13's!!! I'm sure next year with a few more bolt-ons I'll achieve high (maybe mid) 13's. The 104 mph trap speed is promising though!

My best 60' this year was a pathetic 2.236 using cheap Nexen tires. However, I found those tires launched much better then the Dunlop SP9000 that the car came with. It might be worth mentioning that I used a 10% toluene mix at the track.

Do you plan on going down to Mission at all next year? I bet we'd both get much better times there even!!!

109 mph trap! If you got some good traction off the line, it wouldn't surprise me if you got a high 12!

Wow Jmac. Impressive Trap. I think very low 13s and POSSIBLY a hgih 12 is reachable with slicks..... The power is definately there. Its obvious the traction isnt.

I would really suggest the slicks for a front drive car. Dont bother with drag radials.....

It is possible that next year i might goto mission after the car is build, but i most likely won't make it this year.

Jekyl, Slicks scare me for obvious reasons lol

Thats why...

when you order the slicks...

just make a small side order for... oh lets say minimum stage 3 clutch and driveshaft shop 400hp axles....... LOL

I'm still debating about the BFG Drag Radials for next year... Just don't know if they'd even last one season of racing and daily driving though.
