Big Alberta Meet - Feeler Thread

Alright everyone.........I think that we should get a big meet planned for this summer so that we can get as many people together in a central location. I have been looking at a lot of the other big meets here on the site and it sure would be nice to have one of our own.

Now of course if anyone from B.C. or Saskatchewan wants to join us that would be awesome!!

So post your thoughts down and any ideas that you might have and lets see if we can get this together. I have no problem with helping with the organizing of this meet if it happens. Of course I would need some help so whomever else is interested in helping PM me and we will try to get things rolling!!

Post up people!!!!!!

I say base it around something car related. Maybe a car show or a track day?

We will definitely make sure that it is somewhere central so that we can all meet up.

It is a good idea to make it match up with a car show or track day......however we will be competing for parking and have to pay for tickets to get in etc.........so I think it would be better to just organize a meet for just us.......take lots of pics......hang out and meet other members....and go for a good cruise.

I was thinking somewhere like Drumheller.....we can get some wicked photos with the Hoodoo's in the Badlands. That way the Sask folks can meet up with us easily.

Keep posting your ideas!!!

To be honest, I'm not even sure I should be posting since I don't even have my Ion anymore...
Are Kappa based platforms allowed??? I still have a 2.0L and the same motor as the new Cobalt SS's.

Thumbs up don't put yourself down!

Be a post biatch .. Nice Saturn, at least you didn't go to the dark side and buy Japanese lol..

Drummer sounds great, hot as hell in the summer but nice idea.. The tourists might lie that too. The game of life has been cruel to me the past months and due to sickness I missed a payment and now GM is being a bunch of cry babies and are bugging me about one lousy payment soo might not have the Balt much longer but sure would love to go to a big ass meet.. Don't worry I won't speed

Oh I will make sure there is A LOT of advanced notice of this meet. At least a month or more.......that way everyone will have a lot of time to make sure they can or can not come to the meet.

Damn I'd like to make it to this one! When is it planned? I hope I'll have my car finished and tuned by the time the meet is. Edmonton is about 4 hours away for me and that's the most centralized place.

K Lets take notes on who is out of town or busy at what times of the spring/summer. That way we can try and set something up when EVERYBODY is free.

And to all you peeps that wanna go, PLEASE post and let us know if/when you will not be available to make it. If we can make a chart of all the people and times they would not be able to make it, we can arrange a date that will work out for all/most of us.

-----------------

1. ExcentricK - first two weeks of august
2.
3.
4.
5.
6.
7.
8.
9.
10.

Hun, can you give us a more accurate date range for organizational purposes?

I am thinking sometime in June would be better because if you have lived in Alberta long enough, you know the weather can take a dump in May.

How about June 28th?
