Calgary - random talk thread
he has to pay for his own insurance before he's allowed... so I'm thinking it's not happening - but having that spare is not a bad thing ~ especially seeing as if he came to be in a pinch one would cost ALOT more than he paid...
kasper_17 I assume that is your LNF at Shark Club this morning, otherwise I just took a picture of somebody random's car.
And the car after bringing it home Thursday:
Lots of compliments and gross over-estimations on the cost of the car. It's really nice, brand new so I'm not getting on it but the 156 hp is perfectly usable with the 6-speed. Unbelievably quiet at idle, I'm constantly looking to see if the car is running. No options on it at all; it's cool that black interior, cruise, AC, Bluetooth/iPod/aux-in, fogs, and mirror signals are all standard equipment. No big plans except for my usual LED things here and there, I'll switch the DRL's from the high beams to LED fogs. Winter tires will go on these stock 16" then I'll get 17" wheels in the spring.

That must be a typo. I'm gonna email her just to **** with her.
Coming to Calgary for tint tomorrow and some other non-car stuff. At least if the car blows up on the way back I have 5 years of $0 deductible roadside assistance.

huh?
although the original equipment LNF & LE5 air filters look the same, the LNF filter has bracing, and retails for roughly $90 - sorry you're not getting anything out of me
you could talk to your parents about ok'ing you to buy a K&N filter;
sure it could be seen as a 'hop up" part, but it's a logical purchase and will save you money over time;
just don't oil it too much, and you will never have to replace the filter again (just occasionally clean it)
I have a spare K&N I could sell you.
Honestly, there's something about women on kijiji...
any of the women's adds I've seen (or found out after the fact that it was a woman doing the selling) - they seem to think their used parts are worth at least 110% of the brand new cost...
the last one I talked to had a full set of contisportcontact 2's that she apparently ran for one week then changed "becasue they were too wide" wanted just over the full price of brand new ones on tire rack... I mean why should I spend money on used, when the same money will get me new??
nope, been almost exclusively driving the Grand Am on the weekends... I haven't fired up the cobalt since I got home on friday
knowing your luck, you'ld be charged a $100 fee for bringing it in the shop ... ouch!
