Calgary vs. Edmonton

lol..posted in the wrong section. I'll ask again. Is anyone going to the hockey game on Oct. 8th i think it is. Every once in awhile a few soldiers get free tickets to the NHL and CFL games. I'm a Leafs fan but since this would be my first NHL ticket i asked for one...most likely shitty seats but oh well, its free. Is anyone going?

Yeah, slacking, that's it

Sorry but I have to take any opportunity - we (Calgary) may have made the playoffs but.......let's just say it's a new season again

I agree, TO should not get a second team, there are a few other Canadian cities I would put higher up the list.
I would expect Winterpeg would be able to support a team again, maybe even Regina - those flatlanders are a little fanatical when it comes to football, and I imagine they would be the same for hockey

Arizona? Florida? WTF were they thinking? The retired Canucks that spend the winter there don't have the extra cash for hockey tickets and the Americans that live there just don't care - they want football and baseball, not hockey.

Time for a northern migration me thinks

^^^^

Don't worry, if the Flames ever want to complete their bra, I'm sure we could lend them a spare cup for fitting... even if we have to dust off the 13 we already have.

i'm sorry to tell you guys, all three teams mentioned suck *****. lmao to answer your question damien, edmonton doesn't have a hope against calgary. calgary looks strong again this year, the chages made this year should be positive for them. edm, well they suck *****, the changes they made don't look that good. not to say there not positve, but honestly the people on their team doesn't equal the likes of bowmeister,or sutter coaching. added with thier players they already have, could be a cup run on the red mile. if you all wanna know what team to watch is of coarse beantown bruins. ya that's right i said it. lmao argueably the best, second best TEAM in the east. should be a good fight with pitts and wash for the east and cup.

We'll see if kipper can patch some of the basketball size holes in his equipment first, and if phaneuf can learn to play with the head above his shoulders, then MAYBE calgary might make it past the first round, otherwise I see the Flames finishing around 6th and the oilers in 8th this year.

Edmonton will surprise alot of people I think.

Go Oilers!

lmao, that's funny. you could be right. long was to the end, and i really don't think it will end that way. sutter is the key, he don't take **** from no one. that's what calgary needs, kick in the ass. damn if they quit playing kipper every night, they should be strong towards the end. the oilers should finish around 8th.
