Decent Night at the Race City

Air was pretty cool last night. Im not sure what the air density was but but my watch was saying 3355 feet above sea level.

It sprinkling just a tiny bit at times throughout the night and that didnt help traction lol.

The cold air helped out top end power but made for shitty 60 foot times.

I will have a video up soon on this thread.

R/T .197
60' 2.369
330' 6.288
1/8 9.349
MPH 81.70
1000' 12.002

1/4 14.197
MPH 104.61

Mods in Signature.

Tried making some little adjustments via HP tuners but made no gains. (air got worse as the night went on) Working on a tune for next time out after we do some AFR logging.

Traction sucked lastnight. I averaged 2.3-2.5 60 foots on stock pirellis. I averaged trap speed of 104 mph on almost every run. Ran very consistant 14.1-14.2s.

Cant wait to come up to edmonton and make a few passes there.

Next to come for mods.... slicks!!!!!

Decent? It was freakin awesome! Density altitude of 3490 feet! Usually 4800+ feet.

I ran a 15.72 @ 91.68 mph---0.3 sec and 4 mph faster then last time (5100 DA)

Here my favourite picture of the night--bye, bye Cody!

Of course he past me around 1/2 way down like I was going backwards

Still waiting for a 2.2L to come out--also like to see a 2.4 auto run.

Actually the air stayed very constant throught night--only went up a very small amount.

That race with me versus that turbo sentra spec- v was one of the closest i have ever had. I just barely beat him. neck and neck. Nice pics mike, now you need to send me the video!!!!

That pic at the lights shows you red lighting....

Good night... except for when my dipstick blew out and blew oil all over my engine bay.

Nice pics & runs gentleman!

Nice to see Calgary still does stuff. Edmonton has been off the map the last two months! Not sure where everyone is off to, or what they are up to!?!?!? They don't seem to be on here often.

Nice runs guys!!!!
Seems like the new clutch is giving you grief out of the hole.
Definately not slipping though.
This shows me how little f/i cars care about altitude and conditions.
Mike's car gained alot, while yours gained less than 1/2.
I would have come, but thought there was no way they were going to run it after the rain all week. Sorry I missed you guys.
13's are right there, the tires will get it for sure.
Congrats guys on new pb's.

Yeah I was able to cut better 60's with the slipping clutch ahah. But with this new clutch, I am trapping higher becuase Its not slipping at all.

Hopefully when I get my slicks I can finally go WOT in first gear without breaking traction.

Too bad you werent there chris. It was fun.

hey jekyl, have you messed with the first gear boost settings at all using HPT? This may help with your launch.

Im hoping to come out really soon, but i would like some people to go with. I have no one who would come with me, mainly because no one has a car :P Im just about to order a cold air intake and exhaust so ill do runs before without them then try again after.

Yeha you should come out with me and Mike. We could take some pics as well. It would probly be a goal for you to run a mid 16. I knoe at low elevation the LS is capable of a 16.2. But not at Race City. Realistically I think you will run 16.8-17.2 with practice.
