It rained here this morning but it is sunny now. Called the raceway and the will be open but... abunch of the guys are bitching out so i think we are going to be heading down next friday

 

Is anyone going tonight? I'm planning on going, just to spectate (don't have a helmet yet.)

Might race if someone wants to share helmets between runs.

 

I'm not going. Had too long of a crappy day at work. I don't think anyone is going to run tonight anyhow if we were going. Funny how no one gives a **** about racing on the street, but nope, not at a RACETRACK?????

Do you need a helmet to run? I might have one autocrossing, but I can't see you needing one on a dragstrip. Our cars are nowhere near fast enough to require a crash helmet. Besides, Insurance aint going to fix it if I crash at a raceway, so might as well go with the car. (J/K of course! ) If I need one, I have no cash to drop right now, so drag racing will be out this summer because I really need to save some money until I know what is going on job-wise in the fall.

 

Next week I will go here in town =) I had unbreakable plans for tonights opening here.

edit. Our track requires a helmet.

 

We'll count me out then. It's good for safety sake I guess though.

Where are you getting it from? I may invest in one sometime. I really want to autocross this car, but with my work schedule right now it isn't going to happen. I don't think that I will buy a helmet until I know I am going to use it.

The costs never end with this car... You get the NFS bug and it is all over.

 

Well my bosses just gave me a raise and my baby's feeling very nimble especially now shes close to 5000k.. So I think its about time I let my baby stretch her legs a bit.. just get a really good date, which I'm sure you have its just I haven't read all the threads yet,lol.. And does the cost at the race way include unlimited runs or am I just not reading corecctly again.. but ya I'll be there damn it

well i was there on the 12th racing..

it was wicked. managed to get in 24 runs....

ran a best of 13.28@108.88mph... woot. on street tires. (now alberta's fastest SRT on street tires) and with the new parts this week, i hope to be about .5-.6 of a second faster.
