Been talking with a few guys about this, possibly for end of September, beginning of October... It would be a weekend (sat, sunday) so if anyone is interested post up on here and we can get things going.

Nice, what is being planned is a round trip starting Saturday the 30th here in Edmonton, going through Jasper down towards Banff, possibly staying in banff (or Canmore) that night, heading to Calgary on the 1st, for the morning/afternoon, and then heading home to Edmonton that night.

You bet man, this is gonna be fun.

Hopefully we can get others on board, just think of those mountain twisties guys!

that's sweet.... it's the weekend of my 20th birthday (sept 29th) so you guys best be getting me hammered or something lol.. j/k! Anyways.. I'm in.. I won't be going up to edmonton to cruise with you guys to Jasper but I already had the weekend booked off for my birthday so it works out really nicely! It'd be nice to go out to dinner or something with all of you.. you guys can get me to wear the damn hats or whatever the hell they make you do in the restaurants lol!

 

Haven't seen much activity on this thread, so I thought I'd keep the momentum up.

I think we should get this planned ASAP. We will need to decide where we are overnighting, so we can all get hotel rooms (possibly in the same Hotel). Camping would be OK, but late September may be a bit risky as snow in the mountains is not uncommon that time of year. I don't mind paying for a Hotel for one night. It is the off-season, so it should be OK anyhow. I am assuming that we will likely go from Edmonton to Jasper, so maybe we can aim to overnight in Banff? Rocky Mountain House or Jasper would be alright too I guess. Banff would be good since it is close to Calgary if any of those Cowtown folks want to participate. We can go home throught Calgary that way too.


So who's in for leaving on the morning of Saturday September 30th and returning on the evening of Sunday October 1st???? Add your name to the list if you can come.

If this date doesn't work for you and you really want to come, please post up so we can try for another weekend. So far I am gathering that this weekend is OK for most people. I don't want to go much later than September, because I'd hate to be caught in a snowstorm there with the Pirellis on my car still.

Yeah, that is fine. You can meet us in Banff. It's only about an hour-hour and a half away from Calgary isn't it? Or we could go through Calgary to Banff first I guess.

 

The calgary to banff would be nice... I'd like to be able to cruise up with you guys.. even if it's a day trip for me it'd be worth it!

I was thinking more along the lines of Hitting Jasper First, and heading south, instead of Calgary-Banff-Jasper... it works both ways though.

 

Edmonton to Jasper makes more sense to me too. Just a better way to go in my opinion. I really don't care though either way.

Pascale, you could just meet us in Banff. I know you would be going up alone though. If you really want to come, then I am OK with going south to Calgary, then into Banff.

It's up to you and Sean. As long as I get to spend lots of time in the mountains (especially Banff area), I will be a very happy little man!
