Getting a second trade:

Finally got my welder journeyman card in the mail.


and I decided to go with a dual trade! so lets hear it for a combo welder electrician!! WOOT WOOT

1st year electrician:


My advice to other trades people, dual ticket up! its always worth it.

its pretty thin for work... did you not get a whole **** load of work started?? I hear an ore plant and a few offshore rigs?

my frinds moms cuz owns a multi million $ oil rig company so im might do that any where in the world she says she can get me if i want

good choice. i have my journeyman machinist. there is so much you can do with it vehicle wise if you have the time or ambition. which i both lack right now. good luck though and if you do go machinist, wait till you learn about grinding wheels and stuff. sooooo boring, but otherwise its all pretty interesting. got any questions, always feel free to pm me.

I used to work in a machine shop so I am already pretty talented, run a lathe and such... I will keep that offer in mind though. LOL.

why do you keep getting different trades? just to keep your options open or what? ive been thinking of being an apprentice electrician. im getting my degree in engineering right now but im not sure if i want to stick with it.

I'm only in the electrical union till the oil field picks up.. **** i hate the work... lol. I get more trades so I can do as I please.
