Angry HELP: Scam or Not?

Ok so I got a problem and I'd like some peoples insight and help with this...

In keeping with my idea / theme of the car going for a "black Widow" persona I found some cool seat covers that I thought would look pretty good...

http://www.autoaccessory4u.com/spspunbuseco.html

http://us.st11.yimg.com/us.st.yimg.c..._1955_46155648

I placed the order with AutoAccessory4u.com and then 3 days later received the following email...

Thank you for your order through AutoAccessory4u.com.
In order to ship your order, we need the following
additional information:

Shipping Charges - As stated under shipping rates, All shipping charges shown below are for delivery to a street address within the 48 continental United States. Please contact us by phone or email for shipping charges for orders being delivered to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Military/APO and Canadian addresses.

We can ship to Canada, but there are additional charges. The total for you order would be as follows.

Parts-$29.90
Shipping Cost-$19.96
Duties-$4.19
Brokerage-$21.00

Total-$75.05

If that is OK, please email us so we can charge your credit card the additional amount or send it via pay pal to info@autoaccessory4u.com. If you no longer want the item, we completely understand and will gladly cancel your order. Please let us know which you would like to do.

Thank you again for the order.

AutoAccessory4u

Now I dont know if anyone else has ever used this site or not but I do like the item, I've ordered tons of stuff off the net before and never had a "BROKERAGE" charge before... and sorry but 75 bucks for something that I can also find on EBAY for 30 bucks... thats freaking retarded.

So my question is does anyone know if this is legit, and why the hell I should pay this retarded price for something that was origionally listed as 15 bucks USD?!!?!

Thanks,

James.

If someone knows a place locally where I can get a similar product or something else that would fit the theme I'd really appreciate it...

They may be using a brokering firm to export it to Canada. They do all the paperwork and handle any problems that may arise.

Does not sound like a scam to me, just looks like you didn't read the shipping charges correctly. If it was a scam they would have just charged your Card.

thats my $0.02

it depends on the value/size of the item, and where/who its coming from.
If its something from ebay, or from a forum or something
usually you dont get stung.

but when ordering things from a company, expect to pay import duties, GST, Brokerage etc etc.

EG:
brand new ingalls torque damper....sent by cobalt ss.net member, nothing
Brand new hurst shifter from supporting vendor = border fees.

OMG don't know what to say about that. You could probably get someone local for that price. If it was me I wouldn't do it.

Thanks guys - I think I'll be cancelling the order and seeing if I can get a local vendor or even Wal-Mart to order it in...

I'm sorry but 75 bucks for seat covers is just retarded...

Thanks for all the replies and help with it.
