Just got approved for a $63000 truck!!!!!

Took two co-signers though..... I only have 1 year of credit history. (I am 19 yrs old) and they didnt like that.

So its for sure goodbye to the Cobalt.

I am selling my Slicks w/rims Still brand new ($450), DC strut brace($100), Ingalls Engine Damper.($50)

I will post up pictures of my truck as soon as i get it.

Looks like i will be paying 8 grand a year for commercial insurance, and like 1200 a month on my lease. Ouch....

Takes money to make money.

Hey Cody, if you can wait 2 weeks (the 28th) can i take that ingalls engine damper off your hands? Hopefully by that time you have the truck so i can check it out and FINALLY get to meet you

If you cant wait, no worries (also sorta interested in the dc strut brace...)

edit: OH and if you can, stay on this forum! your company and knowledge is definatly welcome/wanted here

BTW I thought i saw you driving on 84th a couple days ago. Black SS S/C.

And yes I can hold onto the parts for ya. Im not in town right now anyways...

I am in brooks, working on a well in the suffield army base. You cant move 20 feet without radioing the army and asking for clearance.... and there tanks driving by and ****.... pretty cool stuff.

Myth: You need co signers because you don't have the "credit"
Truth: You need co signers because you can't actually afford that loan. Having someone co sign a debt for you can end up in a bad situation.

only if you cant make the payments

co-signers is just their way of saying they dont trust you, and honestly, to a 19 year old kid i wouldnt either (no offense cody lol) (edit: its just because most 19 year olds arent as financially stable as cody, their income usually comes from shitty 8/hr jobs)

its just standard practice really, nothing to be offended about, i haev a co-signer for my student line of credit with 0.8% interest. I make all the payments and have no problem with it.

Cody, i love dodge rams man good trucks, glad it aint a ford bro and yea i think that was me, me and the mrs were going out for a cruise

I see your from Maryland.

So I think that it would be safe to assume that you dont know about the oil and gas industry in Alberta Canada.

Anyways.... I work in that industry. Not only do I work in it, But I am a Night Supervisor for a Production Well Testing Company. I wont tell you exactly what I make, but I probably pay more in taxes in a month than you gross.

Chrysler told me that my income wasnt the problem and than I made more than enough money to cover the loan. They just didnt like the fact that I have 8 months of credit history. Thats not much time to bet a 63000 dollar loan on.

I dont blame them. If i was in their shoes........ and looked at me. I would say "I dont care how much money you make, Im not lending money to a 19 yr old punk ass kid with only 8 months of credit history... supervisor or not!"

I think your missing a point. Because he is leasing it for work--he can use that as a tax deduction.

So Cody, you know what this means? No more LSJ club... instead, we're going to have to have just a Car enthusiast club (which i would almost sort of prefer )

Definatly need a crew in AT LEAST calgary, but alberta wide would be sweet, just have different chapters and meet up at car shows and represent

With only a highschool education?

Roughnecks only start at about 24 dollars an hour. That isnt even close to 100 k a year.

I do completions and workovers...

I work with :

Service Rigs, Wireline, E-Line, Snubbers, Tool Hands, Coil-Tubing, Machinery Operators, Pipeliners, Well-Testers, Safety Hands, Band-Aids.

I have talked to all of them. And NONE that I have ever talked to in the last 3 years told me they made even 100k their first year.

You gotta understand somethign boostbalt, In the oilfield, there is alot of money, but there is also alot of bullshit. And I think you got a taste of some. Everyone bullshits about their wages in the patch, becuase they are all bullshitters..... even I bullshit. But Im bot bullshitting now. It also helps that my mother is the accountant for my company (very large company) and becuase of that, i have a rough idea of who makes what.

So I was right........

this guy was trying to say anyone can start out in the oilfield and make 120k a year. In actually fact, its almost half that.
