yes, in a former life, i had a supra. 12 months old, the camshafts seized, and the stealership informed me that it was a lack of proper maint. that cased the problems leading to the failure. my reply was a handful of Mr.Lube™ reciepts using Penzoil™.
Apparently, that wasn't good enough, and i had to push my car out of the tech bay at toyota next door to the gas station i worked at in Lethbridge. Warranty wouldn't pay for the repair, nor the strip-down to find the problem. Being young and foolish, i dropped the issue, and found a cressida that had been written off, and raped the cam towers/followers, and assembled it myself that night using $85 bucks worth of gaskets. and toyota said i had a 0% chance of getting it running without them. I drove over in the am to hand them back their service pages i used assemble it all. ha ha.$4000 saved...last toyoya i ever owned.
bottom line.....i pay at GM service so i always have a record that is in their system, to prove i abide by their maintenance schedule; as opposed to trying to prove it to them after the fact.

In town, i used to goto the Jaguar dealer for syn changes...they pamper you there,
prolly while the tech bitches at your sub-human ride.....
