If it's brand spankin' new, then that's a good deal. It's $80USD shipped from Cobalt Addiction.

Bump for a good deal!

Will they not need 60lb/hr injectors to run that pulley? Sorry but just a question an0malous.

its a long long discussion about whther 2.8 is safe...whats safe etc etc
I would suggest doing some reading if you havent made your mind up on it.

The current theory is that 2.85 is safe. but 2.8 is pushing your injectors a bit.
but were talking 0.05 inches in real world saying 2.85 is safe....but 2.8 isnt...is really a little silly.....and when you factor in that we are at 2500-3500ft altitude....we arent building nearly enough boost for a 2.8 to be dangerous IMO. at this altitude we could probably run 2.75 and not break 100% IDC

If we were at sealevel, i would not suggest a 2.8 with stage 2 injectors

I have read extensivley on the subject and agree with you. That is why I made my 2.85 choice just to be on the safe side. Yes we are 3800 ft SL and should have no problem with a 2.79. I was just curious on what your thoughts were so don't jump down my throat please. IDC looking great on me car.

Cheers

Ya that's what seems to be the school of thought around here. What kind of gains should a person expect over the stage 2 pully ?

If i remember, I think you can expect around 5-8hp per 0.1 inch pully drop
thats a VERY broad technique....but i do remember seeing people get 15-20hp from the 2.8
but the killer improvement is the torque. Ive seen anywhere from 20-25ft/lbs of torque from the 2.8 pully.
and thats where you get the kick in the pants.

oh wow. Ya that would make for a huge improvement. Hmm... definately gonna consider that. This spring/summer after I get stage2 installed.

Gotta take it one step at a time though, lol. Exhaust is going on saturday. Then CAI and maybe manifold first before stage2... gotta let the girl breathe!

2.79" on a GM stage 2 will be fine. I have a 2.8" with a raised rev limiter and I've had no problems since last summer. With the stock tune and injectors however, I wouldn't recommend it.
