Thumbs down Me Venting...

So I take my car into ****'s dealership yesterday (my birthday) to get the head light fixed as many of you pointed out it was miss aligned... well I go back to pick it up and not only is the headlight not fixed but I find 3 other NEW problems...

1) The Driver fender is now moved and snug against the door so its now rubbing

2) The headlight was not even fixed and now the bumper is higher on the driver side than the passenger side.

Driver Side:

Passenger Side:

3) The passenger door is got several chips along the bottom of the door as if some one rubbed it against something.

Grrr and the person who got into the car had wet/dirty shoes and left marks on the driver sil

This was a pretty nice birthday present Especially since I have the Cool Cars Crusing 4 a Cure this weekend...

Anyway I hope they fix it right today... That was my vent....

Yeah I took it back to them today and the body shop manager called me before I even left the lot telling me that they don't know how all that happened...

"I just talked to my guy and he said he apparently misunderstood the work order and only tried to adjust the headlight alignment not fix the problem so I don't think the rest of the damage is from us or see how it could have been"

I said well look, I'm not trying to screw you around etc. I know my car and it wasnt like that when I had it Sunday or dropped it off monday morning so I want it fixed... anyway he said he would get them to try to fix the problems and that the fender issue should be apart of warranty...

But I mean seriously... like I'm not trying to screw people over or get a freebie etc I know people do it all the time but seriously I've owned the car for 2 months how can you begin to tell me this is not new etc. when if you look at the chips they have no dirt etc in them... and trust me the car was dirty before monday as I drove back from Edmonton through a rain storm.

anyway yeah we'll see tonight when i go back to pick it up

I hope everything works out for you. It's to bad that that happened I heard that **** was the better dealership here in calgary. Whatever you do don't take your car to CMP they will screw things up even worse.

almost sounds like they drove it and hit something lol... pushed the bumper up a little and pushed the fender into your door... sounds like they hit something to me....

there wasnt any marks on the front of the bumper like scratches or sumthing?? Maybe there was and they buffed it otu hoping you wouldnt notice ....

Im thinking like worse case scenario lol..

goodluck getting it fixed....

Yeah I picked it up they fixed the bumper, headlight and the scratches on the passenger door - plus washed and sorta detailed it (minor job)

they didn't fix the scratches from where it was rubbing (from the front fender & drivers door) so I'm not totally 100% happy but hell I'll fix that myself rather than go back and worry something else happens.

in either case its back in near top shape for this Sundays Car show.

I thought installation of the headlight was a no brainer even a caveman can do it after all in order to change bulbs we remove the entire assembly then just shove that bitch back in! So how can it be mis alighned?? Maybe its the hood not the headlight? I know my hood is outta wack a bit but then its a domestic soo.. And ya regarding your interior! Typical ******* people have no respect where they put or slam there boots and crap Oh its not my car, why should I care!!! I had the same kinda ******* do that to my interior too ..

I say get the manual and do everything yourself.

Well its not the Mechanics exactly - the **** dealership has its own sub department that does only collison repair and body work apart from the normal mechanics but yes I agree...

Yeah well there was a clip misaligned and apparently its a common problem from the factory - I agree I've seen the headlights changed out many times but I guess its just more the fact that at least if there was a real problem with the body or frame etc then I could have them at fault / covered under warranty.
