hey cody did you end up doing that run with "full weight" like you were sayin?

if so thats absolutely nuts haha

Update for N/ADC5, today looks absolutely killer. its bright sunny and hot.
(i live about 5 minutes from castrol btw)

tommorow is still cast at high of 12 with 60% chance of showers.

If all the weight in the box wasn't helping traction, then maybe.
If it was, then not likely.
The truck weighs 7000lbs, but makes alot of power, and has long gears with the big tires to use the boost. With shorter tires it would get up and go, but would likely spin, and would put him in overdrive sooner, which wouldn't help.
I say 14.1 for sure if he takes out 3-400lbs.

you guys are forgetting that I am using 4wd.

I was reviewing video... and i wasnt commign closes to spinning my tires last time. My mud-terrains and VERY soft and almost like slicks.. They hooked really hard on the track. I was very surprised. Anyways...I dont think traction will be an issue.

Today I took out my tools and my side wooden saddlebag toolboxes. I estimate 250-300 pounds taken off already.... I am leaving in my alluminum toolbox becuase it weighs nothing at all. Im keeping the tailgate on becuase after watching mythbusters lastnight. trucks have less drag with the tailgate on and up.

Tonight I am taking off the spare full size tire and front bull bar and lights.

Im not gonna guestimate what i am gonna run this time... becuase i dont want to get my hopes up. We will just have to weight and see what happens.

I also need to clean my air filter really badly lol... another thing on the list.

Is it possible to get 14.6 or 14.7 with my Redline, only with the 3.1 pulley and K&N drop in filter? Oh yeah!! and lowering springs?

In calgary... no. lol

In edmonton... yes.

Oh and anomolous, there is only black smoke at the launch, after that , there is a steady stream of smoke, but its being burned more effeciently so its not as thick of a cloud as when the turbo is pre-spooled off the launch.

you didnt see the vid of my 14.4 run??

HAHA thanks for postin that man. that thing is such a monster.

that thing must launch HARD to get 14.3 with that trap.
quite a difference from tryin to launch the balt i bet lol.

I think maybe you could get a 14.7 if conditions were right, but it would have to be perfect. and youd have to hook bigtime on the launch.
but dont be to disheartened. calgary is a bit of a heartbreaker.
the altitude, and track itself, really dont make for the greatest slips.

.

Well its different anyways... it doest like launch hard like a mustang on slicks or anything... it actuaqlly launches somewhat soft. (like u dont hear anything bang or slam) and then the boost hits and the torque accelerate u quickly out of the hole. (2.070 60' time) Launching it didnt feel hard on the truck at the very least.

mind you that was at 5-10 psi... tomorrow im launching at 20 psi of boost. (Max is 35 psi)
