Race City next week
First night for the season! You know winters over when the track opens up!
Now---is there anyone with a 2.4L SS or 2.2L that plans on going?
I don't care about the S/C people---you'll come for sure, I know! (and kick my ass)
I'd sure like to line up against a 2.2L 5 speed

I'll come and race you Mike, we never got one last year.
Anyways, I'll be there unless my wife is in labour...
I'll be shooting for 14.0@100 that night, and hopefully 13's after I figure out the tires.

you should try it. once you run down a track once and get that buzz, and pickup your slip....youll see why people hate on street racers, and tell them to go to the track.
track > all.
N/ADC5 I assume your running slicks?
track > all.

Best on street tires was 2.097.
Come and try it once, you'll never look back. It's so fun. I still get butterflies first pass...

hey i've got a 2.4L, and im going, i might bring my car depending on if she's out of the shop by then. but even then im not racing yet. i've only got 5800Km on her so she's still trying to find her groove. but i'll definetly see you all there.

Cody was right there with me last year...
You'll run 102-103mph likely, but I'm sure I'll have the better 60 ft, and likely 100mph.
It'll be fun, and that's what it's all about.

Went out to a quiet stretch of road and did some runs with the interceptor.
to get used to launching with the summer rubber again.
(yes i know interceptors arent accurate...but it gives me a relative idea of how im doing)
I did a 13.65@105 (again, dont even bother breaking out the flamethrower..i know its not right.)
so i really think i have a chance at maybe getting that 13.99 run this year woohoo.

Easily possible. Always good to practice. The bad news is that the road is better for traction than the track on streets. It does help to get a feel for what is good though, just might have to adjust the rpm a bit.
