Thumbs up Rims changed........ :)

Well I did not want to do this........but it was basically forced on me just before the winter.

Here is the story:

I had to get my summer tires changed and it happened to be right at the end of the summer season. So I took my car to the OK Tire at 2605 - 17th Ave SW and had new tires installed. Well I get the car back a couple of hours later and three out the four rims had marks all over the chrome lip and scratches all over the spokes. Needless to say I was pissed off. I went back into the store, gave them a piece of my mind, and left. The reason they did not help me out with fixing them is because they have a huge sign on the wall behind the register with the words "We are not responsible of any damage to wheels when they are here getting fixed". *******.

So I was going to use Alberta Wheel Repair but after doing some research found that they had done some rather bad work and I did not want to chance things. So I stumbled across another guy who repairs wheels and I had found good things said about him so I dropped them off with him.

Needless to say I am more then impressed. Two of them are done now, and here are the results:

BEFORE:

And here are two of the rims done so far:

I am VERY HAPPY with the results so far, and I can not WAIT to get them on the car in the spring!

Comments people!!

Even though you are in Canada, what are some good searches for wheels repairs/painting on google to find around my area? Rims look great all blacked out!

Did you get rid of the chrome lip Mike, or whats up with it all black?

I had a similar problem to this...
Bradley's GM got my new MKW M72s in, and scratched one of the rims putting the tires on. They sent it to Regina Wheel Works and they machined it down a bit, got rid of the scratches, and cleared it again. And Bradley's GM paid for it all, like they should have. The only downside is, the one wheel is a bit shinier, and has a bit of a rainbow metallic look, and the other three just look machined and lightly cleared. I want Bradleys to scratch the other three now LOL! You only notice it if you're kissing the wheel though...

I know here in Saskatoon, Kelvins does some pretty amazing work and would highly recommend them. Your wheels look good Lp, I liked the aluminum lip.

Thank you. I love your car but hated the chrome lip on those wheels. They were so out of place.

Well they won't be on the car for at least another 3 months......so everyone is going to have to wait until then to see them on the car.

Painted. The same way as the inside spokes were before.

a little off, topic, but how do you like your projectors? i have first gen and was wondering about the others. you have H1 bulbs in there, right? mine have gone out on me twice in 6 months. just wondering about other people. other than that, my halos and LEDs have had no problems, which is what most people complain about

Nice bro, I have the same wheels on order. Now that I know this, I'm going to make sure I'm right in the same room where my tires are being mounted & balanced on these.

How do you like those general exclaim uhp tires? I'm still on the market for tires.

Oh & if you don't mind me asking, how much was it to get your wheels painted/fixed like that?

I really like the tires, they work really good in the rain especially in puddles. I am not sure on the price yet for getting them fixed but they guy told me it would be around $150 to $200 per wheel.

Actually I do not have the headlights anymore that are in my sig. I made my own retrofit projectors which are 1000% better then the ebay projectors.
