Nah... I wasn't at SIR. There are a few SS/RL guys that own bikes though.

... I wouldn't mind going down there for that. I mean... to race on a beauty of a track would be nice.
I have a feeling I won't be ready though.... most of my parts are supposedly in transit.

Swift is home for me too Supertan, It will be good to see another SS/SC there because my friends will be flaming me for not bringing out the Camaro to the races.
I am curious to see how the thing goes on a prepped track. Should be fun.
Tyler, are they the parts that you told me about? When are they supposed to be here? My stuff arrived today, so hopefully this week I will get it all done.

SIR doesnt really give bad times, but yeah, Friday night street legal drags, they use no track prep whatsoever!! So goodbye traction.
Swift Currents Drag strip is a 2 year old runway that is perfectly flat and extremely wide. The starting line gives you about 160 ft of concrete for the launch, much better than ashphalt at SIR. Many of the 8 and 9 second cars are 'dead hooking' (that says something!) Starting at about 5:30am, they drag a 1800lb skid steer tire up and down the 1/4 mile on both sides a **** load of times to lay down some fresh rubber, then follow that with about 35-40 gallons of VHT traction compound throughout the day.
They also have a brand new timing and light system that is probably the best in Western Canada bar none!! No billboards to light things up at the end, but that sounds like it is coming real soon. Racing I think is only $20.00 which is extremely cheap as you are getting a prepped track. Race at SIR and you will be paying around $45.00 for a prepped track. Another thing is that in Swift, guys are easily getting about 12 runs with cool down time in between, they are going hardcore and race as late as possible. On a feature day at SIR, good luck getting your 3 runs in. I know this from experience.
The club there is new but is doing very very well, I know all the guys as they are friends of mine that started and operate the club. I am going to support them on the 8th as the more tracks we have the better. I believe they also have payouts for racing, be consistent and win. last time first place was $600.00 I believe. Last year one of the guys that races a green turbo civic hatch from stoon won first or second place.
Hopefully the weather is good.
Later.

Tyler, you have two weeks, hopefully everything is in before that time.

Yeah, it's mostly the stuff I told you about.
My exhaust might be here and be installed before then, but the other stuff it supposedly under going UPS () issues. Even if it came in beofre then, I'd have to bigger around with HPT for a few weeks before I'd be comfortable racing with it.

I just got a quote from SMP for the stage 2, $810 for parts, ~$300 for install, sound about right for those who already have it?
