Saskatchewan VI's?

Has anybody ever had one? I gotta start about thinking preparing for one. Since my car will have HID Projectors and tint when I bring it in for inspection to plate in Saskatchewan, I don't want to have to take the tint and projectors out to allow it to pass.

Any thoughts?

I do SGI inspections and can tell you now, the tint will fail on the two front side windows. As for the projectors, as long as all lights work, brights, dims, reflectors too, you should be okay.
You may be able to "find" someone who will let the "little things" go.

Thanks Rippin... Yeah, the tint and HID bulbs will be the only thing illegal, the lights are DOT and SAE approved with running lights and side markers and all that. So I'll wait for tint till after inspection haha.

LOL , I wouldn't let Canadian Tire near my car. Even if it's just for an inspection cause you can guarantee they will screw something up. Since Rippin does them, maybe he'd be someone to ask about doing the inspection as well?

Yeah I'm moving back actually. I grew up in Martensville, spent a few years in Saskatoon (Erindale) then I move out to the coast when I was about 13. Now that I'm 19 and can sorta do whatever I want, I'm going to be coming back to Saskatoon to live with my dad till I get on my feet and go to SIAST for their commercial pilot course.

Everybody says I'm crazy for coming back to Saskatoon, but Vancouver is a REALLY SHITTY city to live in despite popular belief. As for the actual hookups on VI's, I'll worry about when I have to get serious about it, just had some basic questions.

do you know when you are starting the pilot program at all?? My fiance is starting sometime within the next year. Would have been this fall but student loans just told him they lost his application.

We'll have to have a meet once you get here with everybody

Well, the course starts every January, I missed this year so January 2009. But I'm probably coming out in April or May at the latest next year.

Good luck with the move, and hopefully we'll see you at a meet sometime.
