Actually mr cocky, Idid not have all that stuff at the track, I was on a 2.9 and 42s, plus the car was not tuned for methanol as the cable was stolen so I could not change anything, So I was pig rich and no timing. Just an FYI chad, in Swift I trapped 104.8mph on a hot day without meth. So yes my tune was def. off at SIR. I proved this by dynoing the car that weekend and it showed I lost over 20whp peak, and about an average of 17whp through the curve, and lost 18lb ft of torque through the entire curve, with power falling off hard at 4800rpm. (In short I lost alot of power.)
But if you want to go again, lets do it now for some fun, Me on 2.9 w/ 60s and you with yours.

That clears up the misconception that untuned water/meth is a power adder.

Ha ha, I know your stirring it up, and I felt your stirring it up by being cocky, because you did win, except the last one. You ran a faster time but I killed you off the line giving me the win. nanner nanner nanner.

Yes, it does clear it up on meth w/ no tuning, the only thing I havent tried w/ the meth kit on the dyno is seeing what happens if you just run water. I think you would still lose power.

Still gotta give props though cause I never was able to run those times on stage 2 the one time I was out at the track with it.

I was pretty surprised at how hard it was to get the meth setup so that it actually helped make more power instead of less. Would never have imagined how much of a difference there would be without multiple dyno pulls.

Looking good.
The 'semi-polish' is the best part... quick results!

It's getting all the little pockets out for the 'high polish' that is the real bitch. Hours and hours of sanding in those little pockets.

Semi-polishing, or high polishing?

Semi-polishing can be done yourself with a few rotary tools and bits.

High-polishing, though, can either be done by many hours of work, or shipping it to a polisher for $300-$500 + shipping two ways.

I wouldn't bother paying someone to do a semi-polish job. You can go down to Princess Auto and buy a dremel, as well as an assortment of wheels and buffs for less than someone will charge. And it only takes a few hours to do the job.

I've done a few polish jobs and I wouldn't touch that blower for under $500. There are so many little corners to get it takes a lot of work. After doing my valve cover I don't think I will polish any other parts. It looks like **** after 2 days cause it gets dirty so fast.

WE ARE GO GREAT!!!!

http://www.canada.com/topics/news/st...2-9f5f76daae0d

BTW... in case anyone missed the Alberta fail thread of the month...
The *Offical* Nov 16th Alberta Meet
Where? Red Deer(Location in Red Deer TBD)
When? Nov 16th @ 1pm

Well the meet we had in Calgary a few Sundays ago went really well and I'm hoping we can still have the same if not better turn out. Everyone start scouting locations for this as I'd love to have it in the largest possible open parking lot so we can do lots of drifting. And NO E-BRAKING, lol or you will E-BRAKE your cables to peices like I did on my last car, learn to torque steer into drifts, it takes a little time and practice but damn it's just as fun as RWD when u know how. As for time of meet, I'd like to try for about 1pm or 2pm. After a little drifting we should all go somewhere like Boston Pizza and grab something to eat.
