hey guys, this is just my goodbye alberta post. i will be moving back to NFLD june the 10th ........ i hate to leave you guys, but this is something i have to do, i hate my ******* job, i hate brooks, i hate alberta, you guys are probly the only reason i would wanna stay. i really have to start thinking what i want to do with my life, i'm only 21 years old and i'm stuck at a deadbeat job working 14 hour shifts, at a ******* hospital. ive aged so much in this past year its not even funny. this place is killing me.... anyway you guys, i wanna have one last meet before i go, so i can say goodbye in person .....

hmmmmm might be enough go ahead for me to make a meet in the final week with my car running, its getting close all parts are in, everything is clean, maybe just maybe ill be in

 

I don't even know where Alberta is but I'm crying now that you are leaving... I completely understand the feeling, I am going from Alaska to Florida... that's one hell of a move... and leaving behind a **** ton of people that I know very well. So my solution is just quit the job, live off of the land, and sell beaver pelts and fish...

 

Sorry to hear you moving on Sam, but yeah another meet would be cool =-(

I'd say look for other jobs in other towns man. NFLD ain't doing so good right now, it could be hard to even get some decent employment.

I'm hoping to pack up and move to Calgary soon myself, there is no more opportunity then in Alberta right now.

Why not just get out of brooks man? I've heard brooks is ****** depressing, but not the rest of AB.

yeah man, calgary is prolly one of the best places to find a job in canada right now, NFLD is prolly not the best. not to mention calgary is just a bit closer then NFLD. everyones got thier reasons though. good luck man, and yah a farewell saunders meet is in order. then maybe some brews?

Yeah man, there's lots more to Alberta than just Brooks. Being from a small town in Alberta myself, I'd probably have went crazy had I not moved to Edmonton years ago. Right now this is the "land of plenty" and there are other opportunities out there...

hey guys, me staying in alberta isnt gonna happen, i'm really trying to find myself and becoming fustrated, living in calgary is DEFF not a option, as i will not pay 1000$ a month for rent.

 

u wont have to pay 1000$ rent man, rent has gone WAY down.. and for a 1 bedrrom right now its like 600... i say we meet up at Chinook on the 2nd at around 1pm?? and then cruise on over to DTP??

im paying 800 a month for 3 bedrooms... jus gotta look man!

 

When I was younger, living in a small town in MB, I thought I would HATE living in a city. But now that I am, I love it! Red Deer isn't as big as Calgary, obviously... Everyone is intimidated by Calgary at first, but once you get to knowing it a little bit, its pretty easy to get around. Lots of major routes going everywhere.
