I had to pop a u-turn and drive by it again just to make sure it was actually a cobalt. It had a great paint job but im pretty sure the CF hood was just an overlay. Nice looking car anyways

I was in Calgary yesterday, and spotted a red SS/SC with red cobaltss.net stickers on the rear quarter window. I found it while cruising around a neighborhood waiting for my bro to call me back so I could find out which house his buddy lived in. I'm not gonna say where exactly, cause it was probably parked at his/her house, but it was in the SW.

I also saw a black SS/SC with the shoe polish on the rear quarter window from Race City parked in a lot when I was leaving the tim hortons near Elbow and Southland.

that woulda been tREBs on elbow and southland and probably redsupercahrgedgirl in the SW, by the way atta boy tREBs for running 15.2 stock first time ever at RC.

I spotted a silver SS/SC, im pretty sure it was on 17th ave SW but im not sure, i was drunk (i wasnt driving, my buddys bro picked us up). I was leaving tequila, we followed it for a little bit then it turned off on some side street.

Dropping my daughter off today saw a Red SS/SC northbound on 36th St at the Coast Plaza / McDonalds 3pm.

Also saw a Black SS/SC on the #1 heading into Calgary somewhere just before Strathmore.

don't say that jase. im very paranoid about that. my first 2 weeks of having the car i had 2 people ding my car. one was some stranger and the other was a lady i worked with but that one was an accident but she pulled a favour with our bodyshop and i got them fixed for nothing so now i park as far away as possible lol.

Oh i wasnt in my ss/sc i was in a 99 white grand am GT. i followed you prolly from like the 50thave overpass bridge on crowhchild all the way into lakeview and we did the u turn right behind you, sat at the red light by the shell then followed you back onto glenmore then we lost you in all the traffic. we werent following you by the way we just happened to be behind you.

i think i saw apex today down on midlake BLVD, i was goin to southgate chev at 7am to get my car looked at.

Hey - New Here - Haven't even actually picked up my SS/SC yet but I was wondering if peeps could give me some feedback I have one the GSL dealership guys looking for a Black SS/SC w/o the sunroof and limited slip - for me...

My questions are:

1) Does the limited slip really make that much of a difference? I'm asking cause I'd rather put the 1500 from that towards a stage 2 kit and some new head lights but so far all the dealerships have in stock are ones with a sun roof and the slip.

2) Does anyone know where I can pick up a carbon fiber hood w/ scoop locally? Or reasonably priced w/ shipping?

3) Anyone know where I can either order / check out some mods for it locally?

I was cruising CarDomain.com the other day and saw BadGirl's SS (f*king amazing ride btw) and a reference to this so I thought I'd do some digging and ask some questions ^_^

Thanks peeps much appreciate the help.

-James

1) Some say yes some say no.. i think it would be better for autocross but not regular driving..

2) try speedtech.. mine was ordered through there
3) define mods... again speedtech could have some, or any tuner shop. if your looking for LED washer lights etc, walmart has them

Thanks Jase - as for mods yeah - I'm a bit dissappointed that I cant get the stage 2 kit pre installed from GM

but yeah I'm talking like when I took the SS/SC for a test drive I was not happy with the rear spoiler being in the middle of my vision so I'm thinking I would replace it (i'm not sure how much effect that will have on the over all aero dynamics of the car - any thoughts from other members?)

and other things I'm looking at doing to it - the cool Euro front lights I've seen on Ebay for a few hundred, the headlight shades... and possibly a body kit depending on how much I really want to invest...

This is more a fun car to boot around town in but I do like playing and tweeking with new toys hence why I'm asking.

Thanks again for the feedback though I much appreciate it.

ya i kinda book it down that area i hate that patch of glenmore right now so the faster i can get out of it the better. to narrow of lanes and too many people that like to come and get a little friendly with me. thats why i always take the outside lane closest to the cement barrier. and ya i remember seeing a grand am behind me. if i had a known it was you i would have helped you get over.

haha aww thanks. yah man the traffic on the bridge is shitty at about 330-430.

to the new guy...the spoiler has ZERO to do with the aerodynamics of the car.FWD cars dont have alot to do with areodynamics as in pushing the rear of the car down. on the 07 you have the option to get the low pro wing or the big wing. both look cool and the car looks totally different with the diferent wings.... and why dont you want a sunroof? if i was you i wouldnt get the LSD package. i dont think it does that much. just invest like 150 in an Ingalls Torque Dampener. BTW stage 2 will bring your car to a whole new level of fun.
