I know that it is heavy but I think dodge is being modest with the numbers they are posting.

I got mine negotiated down to 27,000 flat taxes in but it was stickered for 29,500 plus taxes so gives u an idea on how bad they rape us up here... considering out dollar is on par now.

It's funny how our Dodge competitor that competes with the SS/SC's are 2.4 Turbo, where as we are 2.0 supercharged and holding out own pretty damn well.

Yeah, they are ugly..

285 HP and 265 ft/lbs of torque and it still only runs a 14.6 quarter mile. Surely that's not accurate. That's a damn shame waste of automobile then. Think what the cobalts would be running if the LSJ put out those numbers stock.

Ok STARTING at $24 grand is a good deal? In what world? That means an option up one will run you closer to the $28 grand mark! And it runs a 14.6? That can't be right! Can it? If so my sedan when I'm done will give them a hard time! They may still take me but they're gonna have to work at it!

And on top of that its still ugly!

I would imagine this car is in all reality a 14.1 car

Remember the original SRT-4 claims not the first release but the 2nd gen if you can call them that.

Then think about what stock srt4's actually ran

You can never tell these days until you drive them yourself

From the pictures it look like its only good for luggage and other stuff you need to haul. Oh yeah it has a built in beer cooler . I still pick my SS way over this

in Canada thats a smoking deal! Mazda Speed 3's are 32K, S/C Cobalts started at 26K.

Of course like you say--if you load it up with junk then it will be alot more. Won't find many stripper models--as dealers make good profits on options.

14.6,na..cars only 300lbs-400 heavier than the neon srt4 and it has more power to cover the weight diffrence...its a mid 13 sec car ..wider tires improve off the line traction

These are numbers to the crank, not to the wheels. Realstic numbers would be 230-240 whp. They need to throw one on the dyno to get some #'s. Also with a 6-speed they are losing momentum thru the gears. Having to go thru gears quicker and not able to stay in a key power band for very long. The torque is very disappointing as well. Not 300 lb /ft as advertised.
