get an appraisal man, i just dealt with an accident where a womans truck got keyed and it cost over $3000, so it could be over your $1000 deductible

edit: my buddy had his car for 2 months and it was egged, passenger side mirror kicked, keyed, gas syphoned, and back lil lights to light up his liscence plate broken

just bad luck *shrugs*

Sorry to hear about your ride man. It's bullshit that people have to go destroying other people's rides just because they can't afford it and they are jealous. My buddy walked out of work one day and his brand new STi was bashed so bad, and there were VCR's, bricks, and other stuff thrown through his windows and his whole car was just beaten to ****. They didn't miss one spot. His car was just under the price to total it, and he had to get rid of it cause after he got it back it just wasn't the same. You can't own anything nice now a days because people love to destroy it because they can't have it.

Good luck with everything!

the first guy, it looks like if you get the door recleared, it should cover. and that 3/4" of scratch on the fender may polish. the belt moulding can be polished to a point. the glass would need replacing if it bugs you.

the second guys shots, omfg. someone did that passionately. they really leaned on it; but to back up 3 more times and get it like claw marks, omfg. they have to strip that to the metal to fix it right, cause if you bury the scratch in primer, eventually, it will shrink a tad, and you will see it another day.

my wife had to goto the hospital one day, and chose above ground parking. She is the sane driver in the house. she parked far away, but not obviously too far away. she came out an hour later, and whole right side was keyed. The ******* asshat cops asked, "Who'd you cut off?" random vandals. 3800 to fix it. we hand wash and it was washed the night before, and is garaged nightly. so we know fo sho where it happened...

i feel for both of you guys. if there are 3 things in this world i hate, its thieves, vandals, and liars.
i hope you find the guilty party, and introduce him to a nice manly Boot Massage!

You should take your car to Maranello and get a quote. They do a lot of the exotics around town so Im sure they could bump that price up at least another 250

lol even if his quote came out to 1100, if he has a 1000 deductible he'd need to pay the $1000, so im sure he'd much rather pay $750 and not have anything on his insurance.

perhaps he should just have it polished, for 50 bucks, (and live with a subtle mark, polishing will take the white out of the scratch.) and wait for some real damage before forking out the big dough.

having a $1000 deductible for comprehensive coverage on a car like this kind of defeats the purpose. are you sure comprehensive even goes that high?

Yup, it does.

I always laugh when people buy full coverage (like 500 coll, 250 comp) on a car thats worth like $1500

yea i could just wait but it bugs me that my car has two visible scratches on the side. it makes the car look so bad even if its just minor.i think ill just get it fixed as best as possible. i dont wanna spend too much money.
