Winter Tires

I'm in the process of looking for winter tires for my car and every place I call is telling me that they don't think 16' rims will work on the ss/sc because of the larger brakes, I tried calling the dealership to confirm this but they are just as stupid there and don't know. For any of you guys with winter tires out there, what size do you have? Or better yet, is anyone interested in selling their winter tires??

16" they fit just fine, but you can't go any smaller.

Do you know what size of rubber I will need for 16's? I know a guy who is willing to give me his 205 55 16 for free but I'm not sure if that size will fit.

My 2007 SS has Pierrlli P6 tires...mud/snow rated. Live just southeast of Chicago on the southern tip of Lake Michigan....so driving in the winter snow is a concern. I like the idea of parking the car for the winter... But do you guys know if the P6 will handle extreme winter driving....snow snow snow....????

i have the pirrelli all season on my ss/na and i've driven in the snow with them quite fine actually. just don't drive like an idiot and almost any tire will handle well in the winter time.

just park it for the winter.. youre just going to end up with a ton of rock chips on your hood and youre going to have to deal with getting stuck..ALL THE TIME haha, last winter was such a pain in the ass, and there were so many close calls

ya the stock tires are soooooo bad in winter. I chipped a rim when I slid out on a service road and hit the curb...I was only going maybe 15km/h...sigh...

just got 16's and BFGs for winter they fit good but you can hardly fit a finger between the caliper and the wheel.
