I couldn't care less if they're just straight steelies haha. I just want to know where to find some cheap winter wheels because the dealer will obviously way overprice anything that will fit AFAIK

have you tried any tire shops?? last year i was trying and had a hard time....also the dealer was trying to tell me to go with 15" rims instead of 16" after trying to explain to them that 15" dont fit on a ss/sc cause are brakes are too big....

I know that Crappy Tire had steel rims for like 120 each? My personal plan is to make a day trip down to Pick and Pull and grab 4 tires off some shitbox that will fit - Rims there will run u like 20$ each and then just find some tires at like Fountain Tire - I have a buddy who works there I'll see if I can get any info on what they will run...

do you want real winter tires or are you looking for All Seasons or ??

How many **** boxes at pick and pull have a 5x110 bolt pattern??? Its a odd bolt pattern, I would be very suprised if you find anything there.... but let us know about your buddy with prices....maybe get him to ask his boss if he would give us a deal if a bunch of us go there to buy winter tires and rims??

... you guys are better off going to a real tire shop as opposed to CanTi. They'll actually have the rims in stock, or atleast in the city.

Last year when I went though this, I ended up spending $1000 on tires and 16" rims... although i ended up with one of the most bad ass styles of tire... the Toyo G02 Observe.
Remember that nasty snow storm Sask got hit with last year??... those bad boys didn't have any trouble getting me home in that weather.

Oh.. and if Canadian Tire tries to charge you $120/rim... tell them to blow you... they quoted me $70/rim last year.... needless to say, I still didn't buy there.

My uncle owns a tire shop by my home town. So I basically got dealer pricing on everything.
If you want to make the trip, it's CLS Tire in Wynyard. Only like 6-8 hours from there.

But honestly, I 'm a fan of KalTire. I'd say they have the best prices out of any tire retailer.

Why 17" steel rims?? They would probally be pretty pricey if you do find one.....but for winter, you want a higher profile tire because they will have more traction.... and if you are just going with steel rims, I would just go 16" rims, If you went with 17s maybe look into some of the cheap alum alloys instead... I think theres some on tirerack and other online places for like 100-150us/rim.... I know some ASA stuff is pretty cheap....

+1
Unless your running a big brake kit, 16" rims is the way to go.
Kal Tire has 5x110 steelies in stock usually.
