And I asked them here, but none of them are car crazy people and I cant seem to find the answer anywhere else.

With the ignition on and engine off, turn on the cruise control and hold the cruise set button for approximately 10 seconds. The shift light will illuminate to indicate 100 octane mode. Repeat this procedure to turn the 100 octane mode off. Note that the PCM defaults to 93 octane mode each time the ignition is switched off, so the process will need to be redone with each start-up.

The Stage 3 PCM will default to 93 octane mode when excessive knock is detected. If this happens, the shift light will turn off to indicate that 100 octane mode is off.You might be able to go into the BCM and enable the shift light...
OR might be able to monitor outputs with the tech2 to see if the light was commanded on.This is all I have on this....Hope it helps...
Anyone at a GM dealer you can trust??

It doesnt. And I did call them on it before. He told me that they were trying to resolve the issue and I just let it go. But I figured since you work at gm you would know if there was a change in the procedure. Do you have a shift light in your car?

No idea if I have a shift light...I have never driven it.
If I have time I will call back .
So you have the Stage 3 stuff? He might ask me for a VIN to check the VCI number.
Let me know where you called as well.Might be a US only thing....
The Shift Light is US only.Might have a fix for it in a few days....

So on the Stage 3 the PCM is pre-programmed and you drop it in and go correct??Did you have to supply your VIN to GM before ordering it??
I might call Ed Wright tomorrow as well.He might have some info on this....
