bring it to a shop that refinishes rims. you may be suprised b/c they shouldnt charge much.
But as for the tire with the bubble - thats stupid. monitor your air pressure better that should never happen.

well its right where the bent rim is so I would say it happened when he hit whatever it was low or air not it would of happened either way if it bent the rim.
go to a shop that fixes rims should only cost $50 to 100 maybe even less

im not 100% convinced that jarring the tire would have caused that bubble. Because every single time I see a customer roll up with a bubble in their tires, its either bc the tire is hella cheap, or bc their tire pressure is wayyyy high or low. Never any other cause.
lol wow well people in NC are dumb than
but when u hit something it strethes the sidewall of the tire this time it went a little to far because of the bend in the rim thetire is not suposed to flext that far and when that happens the strands epand / tear causing the bubble.

x2 on bringing it to a shop that can refinish them.
a buddy of mine fucked up both of his rims by sliding into a curb in his TC. he brought those two rims to the shop and one came out like new. the other one wasn't as lucky.
but his damage was from hitting a curb with both rims at a good amount of speed. so you can imagine what they looked like before finishing.

for sure ... yah addmittedly the pressure was a little low tahts actuall ywaht i thought at first my shake was but it was 26psi from 30, and the tires aren't cheap cheap they are falken's but yah thanks for the opinions guess this was the push i need to buy new tires... just didn't wanna be forced into it with low funds!! what can you do tho thats life...
Chris live every one of my rims are bent too, to fix 2 of them i took the rimm off the car de falted the tire and took a small peice of 2x4 and a hammer and beat the dent out, now i have one that i havnt started yet, your bend looks only small. if the rim still holds air then your fine

tire hasn't heald air since i had it lol one of hte many reasons they needed to go since day one... but the bend is new guess a few wacks wont hurt it before i take it somewhere. think i may go with a set of those maxxis tires like jerran had on his old SC...
Bubble in tire = time for new tire. The bubble is from a steel belt shifting inside the tire after whatever impact occurred. As for the rim do not use a hammer on that type of rim. It honestly doesnt look like that bad of a bend. I would get a new tire and try to balance it personly. You should be able to balance it....and if it takes a lot of weight to balance just put that wheel in the back. If you still get a noticable shimmy, which I doubt you will, then Id bring it to a place the refinishes wheels.
*the only wheel Id use a hammer to fix dents on is a steelie. Other wheels like alloys....youll probably just do more damage.
Just my opinion of course. Thats what I was always taught at the shop I work at.

make sure you use somethign to protect the rim and clean it fisrt so you dont scratch it to hell.
i took my rim to get done professional 2 yrs ago and they ended up braking the rim, so i would suggest the hammer and se that to get as much of it you can out but remember with the tire full of air you wont get anything out of it.
where did you bend the rim?
oh and try getting a 215/45/17 next too

lol my sig is rather old... im lazy ... that was like as of last year... idont even have the amp n e more... lol oops.. i am trying to work on it tonight. was in the city all last night party for Melissa's sister's bday she drove and just dropped me at work today so when i get home at 6 or so i'm gonna have a go at the wheel.
well my day just got worse... i just got done putting the winters back on... only to find out that on my drivers side i have snapped a lug bolt (not sure if thats what its called, the thing the lug nut threads onto) i really have no idea when or how this happened... im just pissed... does this mean i need a new wheel hub? i was able to get the lug nut for my winter one to grab on to the nub that is there but really really really reluctant to drive it like that... i know i probably shouldn't... whats my next course of action ... is this something i can do myself or should the stealership become involved at this point... thanks again guys... now to figure out how to get to work in the morning...
