Car storage

you guys getting excited over this good weather we are having as of late? looking at the long range it looks like it is going to continue as well. Just wondering what you guys have in your head for taking your car out of storage or for you winter drives when your gonna go to summer mode? I was thinking of taking mine out Easter weekend to get it prepared for the crusies coming up in the following weeks. what about you?

I drive mine...well sorta. During the winter, unless there is a bunch of snow or salt all over the road or something. However this weather has been nice, hopefully we don't get one more blast before old man winter calls it a year.

yep not taking mine out until the salt is washed off the roads. probably mid april at the earliest. it will stay tucked in the heated garage until then.

I think I can only hold the urge to put my TC wheels back on for another week or two at the most. Looking at these 17" ss/na rims is starting to get to me.

I first got my SS stored and tucked away mid-december because I didnt have a beater until then (or a garage to store it in; which i now have). and now it looks like I'll be taking the SS out on the 22nd to take home for spring break. its not like the car hasnt seen snow or salt ever so fawk it if it does snow. I dont think it will though. I'm taking it out and enjoying it over break. plus I gotta be ballin for the ladies I'm taking back with me. the rusty old cavalier beater just doesnt have as good of vibe, or smell as nice inside, or have any sense of awesome

I'm a university student that's why I stored mine, winter rims tires over 900 dollars. Heated storage 250 for 8 months. I live 4 minutes from school and by odd chance I wanna go home catch a ride with someone going that way. ( Hali to pc roughly 1 hour 20 min)

I'm a student as well.. I have a house off campus with a garage and nice yard that only costs me $300/mo with utilities included at most. the SS gets one stall in the garage and the cavalier sits outside in front of that stall. I got a beater for the exact reasons you said, winter rim/tire setup for the SS was well over $900.. I bought my beater for that same $900 instead and now have been saving $60/mo on insurance, not to mention cheaper gas costs, and not putting wasted short commuter miles on the SS. Plus its nice just having a second car which gives me some down time for the SS in the garage

Yes, I usually have full coverage on it when its used, otherwise while in storage its under what my insurance company classifies as "storage insurance" which is basically fire/theft I'm 99% sure. It costs me $13/mo for that

Ya same here, cost me 12 a month. Do you have all the parts to put your car back together? Either it should be an interesting 10 days

looks like there will be one more storm before the cars come out, puts a damper on me taking my car out in the next week or two with a foot of snow on its way over the next 5 days. My trip down south is looking better and better every day that passes.

Crazy how cold it got. This time last week I was walking to class in a long sleeve shirt and this week I am back in my snowboard jacket with a sweater underneath
