car wash blew up

So yesterday i decided to go fill the car up with gas and get a car wash while Freedom Cycle was charging the battery to my bike and getting it ready. So im sitting in line and it was taking forever for to get in. I was said to florence "damn this car wash better be worth it, its taking forever" so we finally get in and it was almost cleaning my car and next thing you know "BANG!" The arm that comes out that sprays all the water/soap/wax blew up. Metal peices flew all over the place, bouncing off my car. It hit my hood, windshield and side of my car. It put scratches in my hood which can be buffed out but there is a really nasty one on my right side below the door that is through every layer of paint. Luckly it didnt crack my windshield. So the arm was hanging down and the manager was outside cleaning the driveway.

So i hit my horn and he came over and said "ill finish rinsing the car off and we will talk about what happend" So we go inside after i checked my car over and he gave me my money back, a free ultimate car wash (which i have to use within 60 days at that same car wash ) And i filled out a accident report which gets sent to montreal and they will contact us next week. He then came out and i talked to him about the scratches, told him what scratches were already their and what is new. So he said probably what will happen is ill go to a paintshop and they will pay for the repairs. But the thing is they are gonna have to blend in with the rest of the car, so they might as well paint the whole car.

But damn, that scared the hell out of me, sounded like a gun shot in a small area with metal **** flying at us. I'll take pics later and post them.

#1 rule, never put a car through a mechanical car wash. Be a real man and hand wash/wax your beauty. Your probably one of those guys with a pocket *****. Scared to touch it yourself or something. Laziness is only rewarded with destruction. You know I'm only messing with you Snakes, but seriously I hope you learned your lesson.

I think he has but at least he will probley get a brand new paint job out of it since it fucked up the side passenger side skirt and the hood and that will have to be bended to match so they should just do the whole car

he will tell them it is either an almost brand new paint job or he will take it where he wants so they will do a great job instead of a shitty one on the car

yea well i didnt want to go home to wash it cuz that takes a couple hours and i was only grabbing a bite to eat/gas/wash really quick while i was waiting for the dealership to prep my bike so i can take it. But oh well, im happier this way, had a few scratches on the hood that will be taken care of.

Well, washing your car by hand is the best way to go yeah. But in the winter you don't have a choice. no one is going to wash their car at -12c in their driveway.

A better alternative is Rubber duck.
