Cobalt SS/TC in NB or NS Canada

I was looking at buying an 09 SS but the quote I got on payments was ridiculous.

Anyone know what 09 SS are going for locally in NB or NS?

What was the quote you got? I got qouted 580 a month with them giving me 10 000 for my old cobalt. I still owed 16 000 on my cobalt so that was the payment I was going to have with taking a 6000 hit on my old car.

$671 a month for 60 months. $4500 is owed on my lease which was included.

That's 40k over 5 years. The sales rep was giving me "bank rates" to qualify for GM's current promotion.

I get GM supplier pricing because of where I work. An 09 SS/TC should be costing me no more than 28k or so tax in IMO but maybe I'm wrong.

From what I can see on the GM Canada website, the current promotions are either 0% financing or cash purchase discounts.

I'm thinking that supplier pricing combined with 0% financing has to be better than what he was offering.

BTW, we were communicating through email only. I don't know the actual price of the car or the finance rate.

Oh yeah go in and talk to them for sure. You will get a much better response, people who email usually arent interested in the car so they really dont give you the time of day.

It's possible he's quoting me high expecting to haggle over the price I guess.

Lounsbury's has a red one in stock but I don't want red.

I asked my dealer and you actually get the cash discounts even when you finance. It's not really a discount for paying cash, it's a "Canadian pricing advantage". Don't know if that helps you at all...

I wouldn't pay anywhere near that much, lol. I like the car and all that but it's not worth 30k.

Even when you finance through GMAC at 0%?

That would be a deal I'd jump on but it's not the one being offered.

Oh true, probably not with GMAC.

If you're in highschool, college, university or have graduated withing the past 4 years GM will make your first 2 payments up to $400 aswell.... alright those are all the deals I know of from GM. lol I feel like I'm a salesman.

I can agree with you on that, my salesman "made" me a college degree with my name on it so I could get this deal lol

when I was looking, before GM gave up leasing and the finance rate was 1.9% through GMAC the lowest payment I was quotes was $480 over 60 months....those prices went way up with the way higher finance rate...better to buy a used modded stage 2 cobalt..they have similar performance for a heck of alot less money
