GMS1 Flashed today :D

I got the GMS1 tune flashed today... it definately opened the car up ... scared myself a few times coming home... too bad it's snowing and rainy today..made a faint whining noise like a supercharger when it first ran with it.. sounds fine now... cost me $179 total and no problems with them installing it. If you're in Nova Scotia go to O'reagans for the install. Car kind of scares me a bit when i played with it .. i guess it won't feel better til the roads clear a bit. i can't wait. It definately pulls alot harder and you really feel it when the turbo spools up. I am happy with this tune and i will give more feedback when i get it out on a dry road for a run with Dynolicious and see what this tune has really done for my car performance wise. all i can say today is that i found myself over the speed limit a few times by accident because i didn't want to use cruise control with the wet roads.

Glad you like it! I had mine done at O'Regans as well, and they did a great job! Who did the install for you?

Yeah it really wakes the car up.... I'm having an issue with the bpv fluttering since I have had the kit installed. Got an appointment on April 5th to get it looked at.

Andre is the guy who did mine, so it must of been him if he's only done one install. I believe i was the first one they did. He's a great guy and knows his stuff.

I've had no problems with my BPV though, weird. I'll definitely need new tires this summer, i spin quite a bit as it is lol.

Yeah I dunno what's wrong with it. It's really pissing me off tho. If the dealer can't get it figured out on the 5th. The car will go back to stock for awhile.

I've got an appointment to get the GMS1 installed on Tuesday. Only costing me @125 to get it installed.

good deal for the install .. probably cheaper in the states since i'd imagine they do alot more of them there. ya i'm always on this thing when im killing time at home.. always anxious to see what ppl have replied. haha

you're gonna love the tune!!!! just take it easy til ya get used to the torque steer and spinning lol.. had it out again tonight the roads are a bit drier now... it's fun but gets to higher speeds quicker and almost makes me nervous to think the tires could break loose at those speeds :/ i'll stick to driving it fast on nice days with better road conditions :P

Welcome to the site, not sure about tuners in NS but there's always JD Racing in Shediac NB, outside of Moncton.

Yea, it has like the tail light covers i think? Wingless... the "SS" badge on the front grill. I've seen that one before there as well, not sure who owns it though..

normally a fluttering in the bpv and bov is known as a compressor surge.
the way you get rid of a compressor surge on a bov is by removing washers in the bov its self, or buying a lighter spring.
im not sure where the bpv is on the TC but when mounting a BOV the best place is right after the throttle body to help prevent compressor surge.

The bpv is built into the turbo.

Guys, how much kpa are you boosting in 1st gear. I'm only boosting 20kpa in first.

does the turbo sound louder because your boosting more? Stock I usually get 13 psi. I couldnt imagine 22psi. Gains look awesome though, congrats!

Do you notice any more turbo sound with the increase in boost?

meh at higher boost its a tad louder but mines louder because of the charge pipping upgrade and k&n drop in filter.

Really?
is there a way for you to block it off and then relocated the MAF fo the cold side charge pipe and ran a BOV?
