I'm a painter for a liveing, to do it correctly around $4000.00 because the bumpers, door handles, belt mouldings, headlights, rocker mouldings , mirrors need to come out and the whole car needs to be cleared. I know some people would just clear the op half and hack it but to do it correctly i would say 4 grand maybe 5

that's my guess. My boss writes the estimates but yeah it should be around that. Also depends on the shop you bring it to maaco and it would cost 500 but it would also look like a $500 job

i didnt feel like reading everyones post on it but heres my answer to your question.

when doing a paint job like this car painters will rape you up the ass for them!
i was gonna do a color change and the lowest price i found was $4,000, and the highest was $7,500.
when a paint shop does these kind of paint jobs they wanna do it their way with involves doors being off the car head light and tail likes out, and everything elese removed like bumpers and skirts and windows. and they will paint in the spots that are covered and ****.
so sense your going 2 tones with a pin strip, i think you will be looking at $6,000 - $10,000 for it do be done right

and actually there are two other two tones cobalts here in halifax
one is erins car and hers is pink on the bottom and black on the top with a drifter 2 kit
and her bf car is lime green bottom and black top with the same kit as mine (not on the road tho)

I work on a restoration and collision shop as a painter, we don't rape anyone. We do work correctly and you are right glass, handles, bumoer covers, rocker mouldings, headlights taillights do need to come out to do it correctly, For a color change it is expensive and takeing the doors' decklid, and hood is standard prosedure. Wouldnt you want it to look good and get everything painted not just a hack job? Our paint and body rate is $54.00 an hr. Paint and materials is about $2000.00 for a complete now days.

Paint jobs look sick but if your talking 7 grand to 2 tone it.... id rather have a turbo swap and coilovers and window tint and intake and charge piping
