meth and tune done

Well after a whole lot of driving my meth and tune is finally done thats so Quicksilver on here. Got to thank him for sure for hooking me up with a tune. Had a few picky things with the car but in the end it seems to be running really strong now. Thanks a lot.

Try those Zex plugs I gave you, that should help with the blowby we were getting on the 2.79" pulley! Ya yours runs strong and safe, we will tweak some other spots when I am down your way again! I am gonna work on dialing in the idle better on both our cars, I will have the tune file emailed to ya hopefully this weekend!

awesome, yah I will try them plugs today and see what that does. I did a few pulls on the way home and there was no hesitation at all. The idle is a lot better then when we started though.

Its running between 11.2-11.7 a/f ratio from 2-7k, 22 degrees timing advance with no knock. He is running the 5gph nozzle and is spraying through a throttle body spacer, devils own progressive kit. We can go up on the timing and lean it out a bit more in the midrange for better mid range pull, right now its nice and safe under wot! Didnt want to push it to much with the tune.

Before he was running the stage 2 timing table, with 3 extra degrees added when not under boost for better throttle response...now upped the timing to 22 degrees under boost!

^^^Glad to hear that solved the problem, as mentioned I will tweak the rest when I am down next, we can strengthen the mid range a bit and could always add a degree or two more timing.

ngk bkr7e plugs were no good for your set-up?

reason i ask is because the zex plugs have quite a bad reputation....

I ran 5 differnt gaps on BKR7E's and the zex have been way better than those, one person had a bad experience on this site and everyone was against going zex plugs, i have ran them 2 years with zero issues.

He was getting blowby because he should have had the gap set @ 0.035 instead of 0.040 with his 2.79" pulley, the NGK's are good just not as good as the zex IMO.

He was getting mad hiccups during wot throttle runs in 3rd after 5k becuase of the plug gap and the amount of air coming into the cylinder. Data logs showed nothing during these runs however i thought that was the reason as it happened to me.

btw awesome lotus

As long as ther gapped between 0.035-0.037 you should be good with a 2.8" pulley. My second choice to the ZEX would be NGK BKR7E's
