The ingalls isnt a good replacement for the tranny mount inserts...they would compliment each other nicely. IMO you should stick with the tranny mounts and get a TTR upper engine mount instead of an ingalls. Basing this off of what I've read here. I've got my tranny mounts in already and as soon as the upper engine amount is available for my car from TTR, i"ll be ordering them.

colin, not everyone wants a canned tune like u........
also, as said, ingalls isnt a replacement for motor mounts, i have the upper motor mounts, and 2 tranny mounts, and i love how it made my car feel........... and how the hell u order no lift shift.

LOL.... Well I'm guessing a canned tune is better then no tune at all once the 60's and 2.8 are installed. BTW, does anyone know where I can get a tune done here on the island? Or do any of you know how to do one?
As for teh tranny mounts, I guess I'm sticking with them but the solid motor mount, I've read several time about the terrible vibrations. And I've read the same about the tranny mounts after I bought them thats why I was thinking about doing the trade for Ingalls. Guess I'll have to rethink that one.
Hey Saunders...... isn't GM's Stage 2 tune a canned tune??!!??!!

The vibes are really bad for maybe a week tops...then they start to go away. It'll probably take a good 1000KM for them to subside alot. Mine are hardly noticable now.

Well that won't take me long then, seeing as how I have to drive to water street from CBS everyday for work. I've got 26000 km on the car since october.

Yes, driving will be part of it. Thinking of either somewhere like indian meal line which was suggested by sidewaysnewf....or maybe the bauline line extension...roughly 10-15 minutes into portugal cove to get there and then drive around the area till everyone's bored with it heh
No ONE person really got it started....a few of us met up last year and planned to do it again this summer so it was sorta in the works so to speak since last summer.
you going? know any other cobalt/g5 owners? tell them to come

I have the gmpp touring on my 2.2 with zzp header/dp. sounds great
Although if you plan on modding, thr 2.25" gmpp catbacks are probably too small for a ss/tc

hey sounds good to me. im looking forward to it!! wouldn't mind getting a few pics and meeting new Balt/G5 owners.
I have the GMPP sport cat back and i love it, its not too loud like my old ZX3 Focus(noise box!!).....I could be wrong but I'd find an exhaust thats 3" ESPECIALLY with a turbo. I have a 3" catback.....well turbo back on my 92 Shelby Daytona (project car). I think the GMPP is 2 1/4" or 2 1/2".

The stock ss/sc exhaust is for all intents and purposes a 2.25" exhaust too. Just because it starts 2.5 and reduces to 2.25 doesnt mean its bigger/better then the gmpp at 2.25. The gmpp resonator and muffler are MUCH more free flowing then the stock.

I want an exhaust but I don't want anything thats gonna cause my ear drums to burst.... hehehe.
I was thinking GMPP Touring but I just don't know, this topic is kinda out of my area of expertise just like all other car modding topics..... hehehe.
I had though about going with the Hahn 3" exhaust but didn't go for it after.

the hahn will pop ur ear drums pretty fast..... if u want a cheap exhaust get a. the megan racing. or b, replace the resonator on the stock exhaust, and put a new muffler on.......
if money isnt a issue, i only have good things to say about my ark exhaust..... its 899$ plus shipping.
who in the right mind would pay 600$+ for a shitty 2.25 gmpp exhaust! u could buy a magnaflow cat back for that much 2.50.....
oh wait.... matt already did....

Yeah...... $899 for an exhaust is a little out of my price range.
I had read that the Megan Racing exhaust was loud, is there any truth to that?
They say that the stock exhaust is restrictive, will replacing the resonator open it up more or just change the sound?
Whats the best route performance wise??

Check the price locally....I bought mine from Crate engine depot...it was $499 + $70 shipping....then I paid like $100 in tax at the door. Hickmans has a GMPP Sport, the louder one in stock for $564....if they can get the touring for that price its better for you to buy locally as Crate engine depot has there price bak to $545 now. Nevermind saunders and his gmpp bashing...he has a jealousy towards everything about me because my 18's look like 18's.....and well..his..dont lol

I could of bought numerous different 2.5" exhausts but they would all sound like ass.

LOL...... I do like the sound (from clips) of the GMPP Touring exhaust, kinda been thinking about going that way. If I can find someone selling one at a good price I might just buy it.
Stupid decision making!!!
