Raven Auto sports Dyno Vs Portland Automotive speed dyno
When i dyno'd my car on James dyno, with his conservative tune he did, i was a little disappointed that i didnt break 300 whp. Purely for car ***** number stuff, could i expect 15-20 hp difference on the portland automotive speed dyno?
I think Raven autosport dyno mustang dyno had a 10-15% less WHP varriance.
Anyone have any experience at the Portland dyno vs Raven autosports?

I know when I went to one of ravens dyno day things, the numbers there were pretty low. Fully bolted on speed 3's where getting stock LNF numbers..if that. However to be fair I have not been back to see his new dyno.

yea, I dyno'ed at Raven's on his new dyno and had a best run of 222 whp. I had GMS1 and K&N SRI at the time. I added a catback and a catted dp later and the car ran just fine with cobalt_daddy whose dyno numbers are in sig. there was a little more oomph after the exhaust but certainly not anywhere close to 46 hp.
his printer was off the day I went though so I couldn't get a print out of the graphs. I went a few weeks later and he showed me a graph of (what he said was) a stock Cobalt SS turbo with high numbers. I can't remember exactly but it was somewhere between 240-260 whp). he said he didn't change anything about the dyno so he could have left the t/c on when I went or rolled into the throttle too slowly, although we did more than 1 dyno pulls and all were low.

I went to Raven's but my car will never go on a dyno again. Totally useless since my car is street tuned and i just use virtual dyno which is about ~15hp off, which is about averrage between dyno's.

I went to Raven's to get a before and after for a catback since it's commonly agreed that they're just for sound and I was curious if it picked up any hp at all. After looking at how off the numbers were, I decided not to dyno after and wished I had kept my $60 in the first place lol.

when it comes to dynoing and tuning your car, your better off going to see JD Racing in NB, JD fixes james **** ups all the time.
i have a buddy who has a fully built GSR that should be making roughly 220WHP and 160 ft/lbs from other identical builds a tuner from NYC was here teaching james how to tune and tuned my buddies car it made 168whp and 108 tq, everyone i know of who went to james sense they got the new dyno has nothing but bad to say about it.
portland is where all my friends go now, and its where Cranny will be tuning my car in a few weeks when i get HP Tuners

Lol... no... you're thinking of quick silver. Im quicksilver_ss. :-). I use to have a blue 06 ss\sc. And was named 06-ss/sc. I sold it a few months back and bought an 09 ss/tc with gms1. And changed my name here. I have lived in sackville forever. :-)
