US boost gauge vs. CDN boost gauge
I've searched through 10 pages of posts and didn't find anything...
I'm pretty sure this will in fact be plug and play, but i want to make sure lol. I have an 06 SS/SC and I'm tired of seeing boost in Kpa, but want my interior gauges to look consistent - so aftermarket gauge isn't what I want. So this would mean I could put a US version boost gauge in the car and have the same look and boost shown in psi. This would make me happy :) Questions are:
Any help is appreciated. |
pretty sure it will be plug and play!!
|
That's what I'm thinking... anyone done this before or can anyone 100% confirm?
|
It's plug and play, been done before.I sold one to someone in canada and it worked.
|
:cssNET: sweet... thx!!!

it is plug and play i did the same thing with mine. bought a psi gauge from a user in the states and plugged it in and it works perfectly. no worry's there.

CDN to US SS/SC gauge is 100% plug and play.
20psi to 30psi requires a 3 bar sensor and something changed with the ecu. |
when i took mine out. i went from kpa to 30psi boost gauge. i did not change anything in the system. didn't think i needed to. seems to be working. but i will have to double check that now. i payed about 25 for mine.

I've got a US version for sale. If interested, PM me. And like the others have said, it's 100% plug and play. I actually went from a US version to a canadian version for about 2 months lol

a mechanical boost gauge wouldnt be plug and play with a electrical one would it???
|
No, not even close. Mechanicals require you to actually run tubing into the system to get the boost reading. Not hard, but def not "plug and play"
|
~Mike~ send me a PM for that US boost gauge shipped to my door in Canada
