That's not all of it lol, fort about sway bays, sway bar endlinks, soild motor mount, solid tranny mounts, rotated tranny mount and list goes on haha I have a file folder for all the parts and everything that's gone into that car.
Its fun to drive, I'm buying some new tires this summer with a tread ware of 220 so they are super sticky, I'm starting to get fed up with getting traction only in 5th gear or 4th if I feather the gas.
Cars actually stripped right now, getting cleaned up things re done on it, and getting it running top notch this summer. Was suppose to be in speedsport, but I slacked on starting the project lol, todays the 1st time in 2 years I worked on it.
Got HP Tuners now so no more ******* around with the Trifecta idiots so that's a bonus!

watch out with the ball bearing turbos on the PT's. I've been seeing alot of posts pop up with the bearings failing. Thats why alot of guys with the evo's stick to the JB. I just finally nailed in my build and got my name on the new MAP T4 twin scroll setup. Going with a 6266 JB (ball bearing is $600 more but not taking the chance of failing) As well as its easier to rebuild a JB if it fails. You cant do **** with a BB if it fails.

yea i heard that as well, i thought it was a just a batch of poor bearing though.
i was considering the JB too, but because im not gonna be reving above 6500-7000 i wanted the BB to Spool as fast as it can, the GT2871R is a BB turbo, its $300 to rebuild it priced it up last year just in case

i guess if you are only reving out to 7000 the yea it might be worth taking the chance. Me personally, i wouldnt. But thats because im reving to 8000-8500. From what i read its only a ~300rpm different between JB and BB. Chase with the 3DX Evo that holds the world record is making 908whp, from what he says in the video he made that with 40ps on a 6466i. In a recent thread about the new t4 twin scroll turbos someone said he makes 35psi by 4200rpm and he is only on a 2.0. I'm not sure if he has a BB or JB. My BB FP Red, stock frame turbo hit peak boost (29psi) by 3900rpm and then the tuner changed something and it slowed down to 4300. I want that same spool as before with more power..lol. I'm pretty confident I should meet my goals. If not ill just switch to a smaller turbo. I'd rather sacrifice power for spool.

maye ill have to do a bit more reading on what turbo im gonna run, i been talking to Chris Miller alot about what im doing with the car, and he said for 3,000 more he would be able to send me everything i need to make the rest of the numbers i want.
i seen the other day a white wingless evo 10 in sackville sounded retarded nice, anyways he left the lights and fired all 4 tires! i was impressed

after joking around with the guys i realised besides the $15k im about to put into the evo (engine and turbo kit) I only need about $1000 more to be able to break the world record for highest hp evo, lmao. Record is 908hp with a built 2.0L with a t4 6466. I'm going 2.4 and it doesnt cost any difference between 6266 and the 6466. I just need a meth kit since he is running E85. And ill need a few other odd pieces.

That white evo, did it have a hks bov? I remember seeing a video on youtube (you were in one of the guys videos as well) and he owns a white evox and lives somewheres around halifax.

How do you like the trifecta tune ? And how long have you been running it. Did you get it through trifecta or BnR ? Any issues with fine tunning the base file ? Like a long wait ?

It's fantastic. Been running it since the summer time. I bought it through BNR when they were having a sale on, I got a free cable from the deal. No issues with fine tuning as Vince takes care of all of that. You just need to get out there for a little rip with your laptop plugged in and send him the results. Never took more than 48 hours to get a response from BNR/Trifecta.

I'd recommend getting it through BNR because not only will you get a better deal, you'll likely get responded to faster as well. I had an issue where my base file wasn't originally set up for my mods properly and they got it sorted out very quick. BNR takes care of their customers and makes sure their stuff goes straight to Vince.

I wonder what type of difference i would feel going from GMS1 to a trifecta tune. If any at all. Have you ever personally compared your car against a gms1 car?

I haven't, I don't race people really. I also never got the stage 1 upgrade as I went straight to the custom tune. Typical dyno numbers can show about a 40~ whp difference, and I think a bit more than that in torque as well. A big difference is that a custom tune will allow you to adjust to your additional mods as well where the GMS1 is tuned to match the stock components of the car, not the aftermarket parts. A custom tune also will typically boost higher on the stock K04 and if I'm not mistaken, allow for better timing as well. I can't say from experience, but I'm pretty sure you'd notice a difference.

A typical custom tuned balt will dyno At ~310WHP and ~360WTQ.
(I think a typical GMS1 is about 270whp and 300WTQ).

I personally liked my hp tune. Car dynod 271whp and 297wtq on gms1, 3" turboback and k&n sri. With these mods, intercooler, chargepipes and the catted dp swapped out for a catless dp and hp tune my car put down 330whp and 398wtq. It was tuned by term via remote tuning but we were having issues with it producing 3-5 degrees of knock. Timing wasnt advanced as much as it should have been so there was still room for improvement if i would have got the knock retard issue figured out. I guess long story short, for me it was hp tuners hands down if you have access to the program. Not trying to turn it into a hpt vs trifecta thread by any means, just giving my friendly input.

Man do i miss my TC

That must have been a pretty aggressive HP tune to make that much on the stock turbo haha. Impressive numbers though. I've never actually dyno'd my car though, so I'm not sure of the exact numbers. I'll be picking up a catback this summer though and I'll get that dialed into the tune. I find it's hard to get accurate results unless you are comparing them all on the same dyno since they all read a bit different. I've seen both Trifecta and HP tunes range anywhere from 300-330 whp.

And yeah essentially, Trifecta and HPTuners is the same thing. Trifecta is just Vince's own personalized version of HP tuners that has a couple extra bells and whistles.

Your car was pretty sick though, hope the new guy appreciates it as much. My buddy was saying to me when we picked up the intake from you, shouldn't be selling it, haha.

I know, i could kick myself for selling it but oh well. Got a new project on my hands for now. An 05 cavalier ztype that im planning to supercharge next spring with all the parts of an ss/sc. Dont want crazy power like the tc had. It was way to much. Scared myself a few times with the trq steer it had.
