Question Boost

Will my boost increase to a full 12psi once the car is broken in?

How long would u say it will take to break in, miles wise? i want to hit 12psi not 8

you should be hitting 12 by now.

You know that youll only hit 10 when you first punch it, and then it will build as you shift and get to the redline in 2nd and 3rd gear right?

i didn't know that, but i think i'm still only getting 8 psi in 1 gear.

in order to see 12PSI you usually need to be pretty high in the revs and by that time you're usually way over the speed limit.

boost is limited in 1st gear.

check your boost at the top of 2nd gear. 3rd would be even better...but youd be speeding at that point

well i was out i went for a hot lap by the air port and got no more then 8psi in any gear.
car has 1200km

Boost will peak in 2nd and 3rd gear usually around 6200 RPM and does so easily with CAI or airbox mod. Mine took about 5,000 kms to get there (83kPa).

u wouldnt be able to tell if it said 83 kpa lol, our stock guages suck anyways, i switched to a mechnical boost guage with in a month of owning the car best 40 bucks i spent

My Boost Has Been 12.5 Since I Got My Car W/ 8miles On The Odo. Ive Hit 15 With Just An Airbox Mod On A 13degree Day

inferno are u sure u arent hitting 80 kpa, as we have kpa gauges not psi, i know a lot of canadians make that mistake at first

i thought that gauge was in psi till i saw the 6.9kpa = 1psi post.

its okay i knwo a couple ppl that did it, i myself knew right away b/c of being an instrument tech, kpa is more accurate anyways, im here for helpful advice anyways
