No, it rocks in the snow...here anyways, snow for the last couple of days got a good set of all seasons and it just plows right through it all. My townhouse complex or our street hasn't been plowed yet, cruised out like a hot knife through butter.

Those perelli's have a big fat 0 snow rating
They don't don't go very well in the rain nevermind.
I put the high perfomance all season Faulken's on mine when I got the new rims, am not a fan of the Perelli's...over rated. The Faulken's handle awsome, no problems at all.
My brother being the jerk he is, went to Mexico, but he left me his Beast, now this thing is a Tank, fun to drive in the snow, but its ugly, huge, and drives like a brick

Here's a pic, I knicknamed it "The Snot-Mobile"

our stock pirellis are a joke.
its like driving down the road with four giant rocks of marble instead of tires.

but put some decent winter tires on, and this car does quite well in the winter.

I picked up some Nexen N7000 all seasons for just over $100 a piece, figured i'd rather spend $400 than risk driving and trashing the car the not being covered by ICBC.

Plus the hubby needs to take the jeep to work and I didn't want to miss out on playing in the snow

yo know.....what we can all do....is just straight up buy those winter tires along with those black shitty wheels....those are pretty darn cheap and they work well too....plus u save big money cause u don thave to switch ur tires back and forth...just the wheels... 18inch winter tire (just one) = arm and leg

i had a hell of a time finding 5x100 steelies, new or used. i ended up with a brand new set of 16" aluminum HHR wheels for $300 off e-bay. i have snowies on them.

as for the ss in the snow, i find the brakes are too big and are way to easy to lock up, causing the abs to be overly sensitive. got into a situation last saturday in the snow, a tractor pulling a car out of a ditch (no lights on it, no plates, no buisness being on the road) just around a blind corner. went around the corner slow, saw this thing and hit the brakes and the abs kicked but i wasnt stopping at all. pulled the e-brake, got sideways and scrubbed most of the little speed i had. and, well lets just say i have a new fender and snow tire on the drivers side.

this car is **** in the snow. I have the stock tire on as well and it is a joke. If I ran into a curb with the stock tires on and insurance qwouldn't cover me I would make a huge stink. Why would GM give us tires that arn't good in bad weather. Thats a load of crap. thats why you have insurance

when you buy the car, you are buying a high performance car. it is not designed to drive in the snow. it comes with speed rated tires that are designed to work well in conditions that you can use the cars performance. therefore, they run high performance summer tires from factory. if you want to drive it in the snow, you need all season or snow tires.

its no different from a corvette. do you think the guy buying the z06 is gonna expect to have tires on it that are good in the snow???

I took my stockers off and am rocking Federal Himalayans, best freakin snow tires ever. I was satisfied with my Federal summer tires, so I tried out their winter tires. Best thing yet.

did you just compare the cobalt to the corvette. hahahaha. Dude this is a rental car. I will give you that it is a very nice rental car, but would hardly call it performance

best investment i made in '06. nice set of winter tires on 17" rims. of course if it would snow more it would be an even better investment...but of course...its snowed like 5 times with any accumulation since i got em.
