We got some snow action here in kansas last week but since then it has only been crazy cold! It is the kind of snow that makes your bones hurt, it really sucks! I now wish it was summer again lol

took my car from surrey to richmond for work in the morning...then heading home was a bit slow as everyone seemed to be doing about 40 km/h on the east west connector

then headed to pitt meadows after picking up the wife....almost got stuck in a cul de sac as all the snow was piled up against my buddies driveway

my vw handled better in the snow than the cobalt, but i got around with no major problems. it seems once the snow hits door level in any front wheel drive car, you're pretty much screwed without momentum.

Yeah this is B.S.
I took my car to workl yesterday, wow almost didn't make it home.
No plow and you know what those cheap bastards did?
On snake hill, they didn't even throw salt on the whole thing, just in the corners.
So when you come out of the corner its ice all the way to the next turn.
I was going 5 kms and in 1rst gear (just above stall point) and my ABS still kicked in every time I even though about touching the brakes.
I have Falken 912's (all seasons) and they don't help much, but if I still had those Perelli's I wouldn't have made it out of my underground.

What is going on with this city, its been like 5 days and still no salt truck and no plow.
Maybe I should stop paying my taxes, since there not going to hold up there end of the deal I don't see why I should.
(lol) If life were only fair and worked that way

yea it was a scary drive home last night. Was at a buddies place in port moody all day, went home at around 9 pm, thinkin they woulda plowed or salted the roads, nope, from port moody to maple ridge my car was bottoming out from the snow on the highway!!

If i didnt follow behind suvs and follow their exact tire track i woulda been screwed, the snow on the main roads was up to my front bumper, what a scary drive home

X1000000

WTF is up with that
The city needs to start taking this snow situation seriously. This morning I had to turn around and skytrain it to work because my car bottoms out from the over 30 cm packet snow that had not been cleared.
I got Yokahama AVID All season tires with over 95% thread and that barely helps.

my dad had to use his 87 accord with tire chains to push the van (me driving it so i can get to work) just to get to the main road because even all seasons can't get through this crap ..although the main roads are all clear now i believe..just side streets that make it impossible ot even leave the house

didnt get much in abby on saturday night. roads were ok, even my side street got plowed sunday evening. doesnt matter anyways, my car, even though i have snowies on it, stays parked in the snow. im able to catch a ride to work so its just not worth risking my car. it doesnt do so well in the snow anyways being 3" off the ground. i find the abs is way to touchy, it activates all the time.

There was some black and shiny sections of highway one before the first langley exit tonight and my rear end started to fishtail a bit and I was only doing about 65km/h, slowed down even more.

my street hasnt been plowed or salted since its started snowing last week, once the snow hits tomorow, if it snows as much as they claim, i will have snow up to my headlights.

So thats a couple feet of snow with hard compact snow on the bottom, so u better have studded tires. I got brand new tires, but i didnt buy pure snow tires because this is the first time in 10 years we have got this much snow down where i live. If it does this again next year, i wont have a cobalt ne more

Same here
The last 3 years we've been getting hit hard with snow. Last year it snowed in mid April and if it keeps up like this I'll be trading in the cobalt for a Subaru Impreza
