Ssshhh!!!

Wow is it quiet in here! Has everyone sold their Balts or something???

Well got mine back from Dueck after the fiasco and will be finding a new dealership to deal with which is too bad as there is allot of decent guys who do work there. All the while Rick is the service manager there I can see them losing allot of business.

Got to say though that Eric in the body shop there is great and took care of my car and got all the scratches out that the service guys made and no charge as he billed it to service.

My car is now uninsured and stored for the supposed "BAD" winter that we are going to have and will be driving my truck until maybe February if I can hold out. At least this will keep the mileage down as I'm only at 12000 kms so far for an 09 and thats half the average for a year old. Good time to maybe collect some aftermarket stuff to install ready for spring!

Anyone else stored their Cobalts away for the winter?

I plan on getting some parts to install after the winter.
Some stuff im considering but im looking at what is worth putting on my car.

New rotors and pads
Rims or powder coat mine stockers
coilovers or shocks and springs
intake and full exhaust
tint
Do something with the awful ugly tan interior.

No storage for mine either. Winter wheels are on, and it's killing me not being able to wash it. We might get 10 whole hours of sun today - Maybe I will wash it. Last night I had to do something so I started looking into the swaybar endlink/clunking coming from the front end. I swung into Lordco and saw my car's reflection in the glass. My headlight was out. Yes!! I get to do something to my car.

I replaced the headlamp, and tore out the entire centre console and handwashed washed it in the sink. My girlfriend made fun of me when she saw the pieces drying in the dishrack.

Just trying to keep busy in the winter....

I feel bad for that dodge, you STILL have no decent pictures of that turd lol

I also traded my cobalt in on a brand new 2010 ram 1500 hemi. Not sure where the car is, might still be on the dealers lot beside the other cobalt lol

Sorry to hear about that tan interior! At least you'll have some stuff to do with it during the winter.

I'd rather save the space for the Impala as well!

Ah Yes... Those beautiful and dark northern BC winters. Hope you got a block heater!

The only way I'll sell mine is if I could afford a new Corvette or something like that but I plan to keep my Balt as it is the best fun for the dollar that you can get in a car! Where else can you get a new car for under $25,000 that does 0-60 in around 5 and a half seconds and a top speed of about 160. (Talking about the TC.) Also hoping that based on the production numbers of the SS/TC that it'll be worth a little money in the future especially while keeping the miles down by just driving it in the nice months and storing it over the winters.

Well after all the BS Bmac I am done with them all together. Maybe next time we go service the compressors because of a problem I'll tell him I have to take it for a test run to see if I can hear the issue and then argue with him that it's not covered under warranty! Maybe scratch and chip it a little too.
